Rachael was beaten and broken in more ways than one.
King was broken as well, losing the people he loved turned him hard and cold. He took what he wanted and he only had one rule: don’t abuse women. A rule his father had implemented and one that King strictly enforces since the loss of his mother. He may be a man of many things, but an abuser is not one of them.
King had a reputation for being a ruthless, heartless man that took what he wanted and he was. Losing everyone you’ve ever loved will do that to a person. His mother was kidnapped, raped, beaten and killed. His father: shot to death trying to save her, leaving a seventeen year old Hunter in charge of one of the largest mafias in the world. Hunter believed that love makes you weak. If his father had not loved his mother, then he would still be here. He only trusts two people in his life: Hunter, his right hand man and childhood friend and Martha, a trusted employee and a second mother to him.
Rachael was young and pretty, but life has not been kind to her. The once outgoing, outspoken, vibrant girl that loved life now she barely speaks. Her baggy clothes hide her skeleton of a body beneath them.
