Jenny and Jack

" No NO NO!! RUN!! " Jenny yells as she runs to Jack. " What the f- WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT!! " yells Jack back.

Jenny and Jack are Fraternal twins they live with their mother in a small town. When they were 6 years their father suddenly disappeared. Jenny had a lot of imagination she always looked for the inexplicable she knows there is something more out there. Jack is the opposite he is rebellious has his own way and likes to be alone in his room.

Over the years, their mother ms. Spinoza always try to do her best for them.. But she is often away because of work . She had a hard time working and being with her children.. someone had to bring the bread into the house.

Jenny had applied to work at MOON. Moon is a lab where they research everything you can imagine.

Jenny wanted to work there since she was a little girl, her mom, ms. Spinoza always thought that it was a scary place, where they test all these experiments but she supported her daughter. for Jack it was not clear what he wanted. In the meantime he was busy with gaming for his mother as long as he was at home and not doing anything crazy outside she was fine with it.

On Wednesday, September 6, Jenny received a call for a job interview at MOON.

Jenny ran downstairs and told her mother. ′ what the hell ! I’m so proud of you! when do you have to be there? " she said surprised. “well i have to be there in half an hour” says Jenny with a crooked smile, “w-what are you still standing here?! get ready an i’ll drive you there” says ms.Spinoza. Jack comes down ‘what’s all this noise so early in the morning’ jenny turns and says “I JUST GOT CALLED to work at moon..!! Well for a job interview” jack congratulates his sister. Jenny gives Jack a hug and runs upstairs to get ready. Jack grab some food. ” it’s unbelievable.. she wanted this since a little girl and now her dreams come true but ... anyway do you happen to have any plans for today?” Says ms.Spinoza Jack look at his mother ” no not really maybe a little bit gaming why ?” Mom puts her cup of coffee down and says ” oh okay .. Would you like to go out for dinner tonight ? “sure where are we going?” Says Jack.

” to mils.” She responds with a smile. Jack looks at his mom surprise and says “yes off course mom!”

Jenny runs down the stairs and yells “mommy let’s go I’m ready.”

ms. Spinoza drops Janny off and drives to work. the moment she arrives at work her boss ask her to come to the office and tells her that she is fired. ms. Spinoza furiously storms out of her boss’s office and cleans up her desk and drives home. Jack is in his room and hears the door open and close he runs downstairs and asks his mom ′ mom .. what’s wrong’ “I got fired today I don’t understand I’ve been working there for 6 years 6 FUCKING YEARS and just because they need young people they fire me!” She tells him. Jack grabs a glass of water for his mom and tells her “take it easy mom.. it’s unfair but take this as a break for you too..” ms. Spinoza is so angry but she sees the logic in what her son is saying. She thanks him and goes to her room opens the closet and from the top shelf she takes a box with pictures of her children, her parents and a special photo that was already half destroyed a photo of her husband she looks at it and starts to cry. 20 minutes later the phone rings she gets a call from jenny ’mom can you come pick me up I’m standing in front of the MOON." Ms. Spinoza wipes her tears, takes her coat and before she walks out the door, she says to Jack “I’m going to pick up Jenny" jack responds “OK MOM!”

She arrives at the moon and Jenny gets in the car she is so excited and tells her mother about everything and what she saw. ′ they will call at the end of the week I hope I’ve been hired, but mom wow it’s like stepping into another world ′ ms. Spinoza gives Jenny a hug and says ′ I’m happy for you dear, this is your passion this is you this has always been your dream’ Jenny responds ‘I know mom, I have faith in it.’

Jack is getting ready and he walks into his mother’s room he sees the box on the floor and all the pictures on the bed he picks up the picture that has his father on it, he can’t see his face very well but he knows it is his father.

The door opens “We’re here!” He immediately walks out of the room and takes the photo and puts it on his desk. He walks downstairs and asks Jenny how it went. Jenny tells him everything and that she will be called at the end of the week. Jack congratulates his sister and walks over to his mother and asks her ′ mom have you told Jenny yet ? ′ mom looks at him and says ′ no not yet look how happy she is .. I don’t want to ruin that for her ′ Jack looks at Jenny and says to his mother ′ I understand mom, but tell her now because then she will know and not that she finds out in any other way’ ms. Spinoza sighs and says ‘you’re right’ she calls Jenny to the kitchen and she tells her she’s fired. Jenny looks shocked at her ‘don’t worry mom we’ll find something’ mom says ‘yes sure and luckily I have some spare money left.. So think I’ll stay home for now.. I’ll be with you more and can assist you and give you better advice with your new job, ok I don’t know anything about experiments’ she gives Jenny and Jack a hug and says ′ you are the best kids ! To the moon and .. Jenny and jack respond “BACK ” always and .. And mom responds ” FOREVER! and now let’s eat. Jenny and Jack immediately respond ′ yes lets go ′

They arrive at mils they sit at their regular table all the way behind the server comes and greets them “hey Jenny and Jack and Ms. Spinoza, do you want the same as always?” Jenny responds “yes and can we have a portion of waffles?” server responds “yeah sure, was that it?” the spinoza family nods. Waiter says “I’ll bring it to you in a minute”.

They are done eating, mom pays the bill and the 3 of them walk to the car. Jack is so full and says ′ come let’s walk through here it’s faster ′ Jenny look at mom and says ′ well I don’t know it’s pretty dark and we’re not in the safest area ′ Jack rolls his eyes and says ′ Jenny nothing is going to happen .. we walk and within 2 minutes we are at the car instead of 10 minutes ” ms. Spinoza thinks it’s scary too but she agrees with Jack and says ′ well we can try and there are three of us after all So .. ′

Jenny doesn’t think it’s a good idea but she goes along anyway .. Laughing they walk through that dark street Jack scares Jenny, Jenny gets irritated and says ′ Jack STOP ” Jack laughs, ′ Jack ! stop it, let’s now walk faster i want to get home ′ says ms. Spinoza before they knew it, a white smoke came from the sky and ice blocks fell around them . They stood there completely surprised until they heard a scream. Jenny and Jack looked back and saw their mother lying on the ground with two pieces of ice through her body. Jack totally freaked out and said “OH NO oh no MOM!!” jenny screamed “MAMA!! MOM !!! JACK DON’T JUST STAND THERE AND CALL THE FUCKING 911!!” With shaking hands, Jack grabbed his phone and called 911.

The ambulance arrived. Jenny and Jack sat next to their mother. ambulance took ms. Spinoza Jenny went with her and Jack drove the car. Jenny was crying her voice was shaking and said ′ mommy don’t worry everything will be fine , mommy please don’t leave us alone we need you MAMA Moon and back ALWAYS and FOREVER PLEASE mommy.'

Jenny is in the waiting room, Jack comes running “where’s mom! How is she, this is all my fucking fault..” Jenny softly said “Jack..” Jack interrupts her and says “JENNY TALK!! Where is mom?!” Jenny raised her voice and responded ’JACK shut up! She is in the operating room.. I don’t know anything.. ” Jack stands with tears in his eyes. A few hours later Jack sees the doctor coming and anxiously asks ‘Doctor my mother Maria Spinoza how is she, where is she..” the doctor looked at Jenny and Jack and said “she’s out of the operating room she’s in a coma now and we don’t know for how long or when she’ll be out of the coma.. Sorry that’s all I can say for now . ’ jack asks the doctor ′ can we see her ? ′ the doctor looks at them and says ‘yes come this way’

They walk to the room where their mother is. Jack says “Listen.. I’ll stay with mom today you go home and grab some clothes and then we can swap tomorrow okay? Just rest and if something happens I’ll call you.” For a few seconds Jenny stays quiet and says “are you sure?” jack look at her and says “yes get your rest.. just go ” Jenny wipes her tears and responds “okay if anything happens please call me and jack this is not on You, you didn’t know something like this could happen okay?” Jack nods and hugs his sister.

Jenny comes home she goes straight to her room.she takes off her clothes and steps into the shower, she realizes what happened.. and she wonders where that white mist came from .. When she is done she lays down on the bed takes her laptop and she looks it up, but unfortunately she can’t find anything about it. She puts the laptop next to her and that’s how she falls asleep.

It’s the next morning. Jenny wakes up from her phone that has already rang two times and she answers half asleep ′ hello.. ′ lady on the phone ′ Good morning am I talking to Jenny Spinoza ? ′ Jenny responds ′ yes that’s right who am I talking to ′ madam on the phone ′ hey luckily almost thought I called the wrong person but you speak with MOON you came for a job interview yesterday and I was wondering when you could start ′ Jenny jumps up and says ′ hey ! Yes I could start right away ′ the lady on the phone asks her if she can come tomorrow .. To which Jenny immediately says yes and asks her what time she has to be there. madam on the phone says ’you can be here at 9 o’clock then we can start right away.′ Jenny is so happy that she immediately says ‘yes tomorrow at 9 o’clock at the moon!’ the lady on the phone says wish her a nice day, and that she will see her appear tomorrow. Jenny says” see you tomorrow !”

Jenny is so happy that she forgot for a moment what happened yesterday. She runs to her mother’s room and she realizes it.. And at that moment she sees the pictures on the bed. goes through the picture. She sits there for a while until she looks at her mother’s bedside table and sees it’s 11 o’clock .. ” shit shit I have to get ready “.

in the hospital Jack has fallen asleep. he wakes up and starts to think, he keeps getting flashbacks of what happened and thinks to himself.. But what if Jenny is right what if there are things out there that are unexplainable but why us ? why mom?! .

Jack goes to the hospital restaurant to have some breakfast in the meantime he calls Jenny ′ hey are you awake ?′ Jenny responds ‘yes I’m just packing some clothes for mom’ Jack says ‘well uhm can you grab my blue jacket for me is in my closet or on the bed’ Jenny responds ‘yes that’s good, I’m on my way’. Jenny has packed a bag with things for her mother and walks to Jack’s room and she takes his coat that was in his closet, she looks in the mirror and on his desk she sees the picture it was immediately clear how he got that photo, she put the photo back and grabbed her keys and drove to the hospital.

Jenny arrives at the hospital with flowers, she puts the flowers in a vase next to her mother. She sits next to her mother "Mom.. I got a call from Moon today I have to be there tomorrow at 9 am, I don't know if I could handle it without you by my side" she says crying. At that moment Jack enters the room and greets her and sits on the chair. “ I got a call from moon and have to be there at 9 o'clock tomorrow but .. “ Jack stops her “ what?! That’s good ! And listen you just go, you show them what you can do” says Jack while giving him a hug “you can do this and better than them, and don't worry about mom I'm here I'm not doing anything anyway and if I want to play games look I have my phone” says Jack laughing. "Thank you Jack" says Jenny and gives him another hug. The doctor enters the room and informs them that they shouldn't really stay in the hospital that if there is anything she will contact them right away. Jenny and Jack stay with their mother for a while “I really need to take a shower.. oh and the food here is really awful” says Jack. Jenny looks at Jack "yes, you really have to take a shower because you stink" she says laughing. They come home Jack immediately runs upstairs takes his father's picture and lies down in bed until he falls asleep. Jenny is in her room she grabs what she needs for tomorrow and grabs her laptop she goes to find what that white fog was but she still can’t find anything She clicks on a site and asks if anyone saw a white fog last night. People responded immediately, but not with the answers she had hoped. She closes the laptop and lies down. It is almost 3 am and Jenny wakes up she hears Jack running down the stairs, she immediately gets up and runs downstairs. They stand in the middle of the living room and see everything in disarray. Someone has been in their house “were these thieves? “ ask Jenny to Jack “ who the fuck just comes into someone's house and does this I'm going to call the police “ says Jack “ no wait” says Jenny. She walks to the kitchen and sees that there is a big hole behind the fridge “what is that? “ Jack asks Jenny. Jenny takes her phone and turns on the flashlight she sees it is a safe that is completely empty, Jack looks down and sees loose papers he picks them up “ Jenny Jenny look “ the papers had vague things on them they don't understand but the names of their parents were on it.
