1: The End
Mist rose, covering the once beautiful, yet broken world. The craters indented into the remains of the soft dirt that once bloomed with life. The air was polluted with death and greed while frightened creatures roamed on a world they had watched collapse by others hands. The entity looked down on the dry shattered planet, a remnant of the gardens of life and dreams. A single being, one with dust, sat under a sheet of discarded plastic and sunken metal. “What have you done?” The entity’s voice was overlapped by wails of dying sirens. The being met the entity’s gaze with a dazed look. The poor creature, unable to recognize what the world once was. The potential the dreams of the future held, as they evolved with time. Lost. Due to the selfish nature of the beings that roamed. Seeing the earth as infinite, blind to the life it birthed. Struggling to keep others down just to make themselves sleep easier, desperately clinging to the dying out embers of cruel “power”. All while living in a shattered world that only splintered deeper as time passed. All of those poor beings. Living in such a sad world, one they created with their own hands, and couldn’t truly see until it was too late. Their eyes never able to widen beyond the pre-existing lines. Their minds coded to good vs. bad; right vs. wrong, as they lived in a world for thousands of years and never tried to open their eyes. These poor unfortunate creatures. The entity wished to feel rage for the broken world, but deep down only felt pity. So they turned away from the being, as it sunk deeper into the man-made abyss.
