Yeah, I can write; who knew?

Well, you like reading, and lately, you’re not so good at listening, and I can’t type for sh#t, so... here goes.

I broke your phone. Sorry. Yup, it was me. I was gonna tell you, but didn’t get a chance, and now I can’t send you a message because you won’t be able to read it. So, here I am, sitting on your bed, writing this letter like an old guy.

Hey, in my defence, I was using it to secretly record a song I made for you, but your phone fell in the Drakes’ pool.

It makes more sense than you think. I was doing it as a video while sitting on my surfboard. If it’s any c̶o̶n̶s̶i̶l̶ c̶o̶n̶s̶s̶o̶ if it makes you feel any better, my guitar got wet too and might not recover completely... dunno yet.

What?! You always say I look really hot when I’m sitting on my surfboard, so... anything for you, Granger. Yeah, you also say I look hot when I’m cooking for you, but cooking while playing guitar didn’t seem like a good idea. Things could go wrong... uhm... yeah... okay... whatever...

It was a friggin’ good song too, but I’ve mostly forgotten it now.

Hell, Moll, I’m trying here. You’re always saying I should make it more obvious how I feel about you because you’re never quite sure, so...

Anyway, I tried to make it up to you by baking you some of those mini quiches you like so much. What do you always call them? Slutty quiches...

I had to eat them, though, because when I came to drop them off here at your place, your mom said you’d already left for your visit to your grandparents’ in Thunder Ridge. They weren’t gonna keep for the entire weekend, and food poisoning sucks, so I shared them with your mom and am leaving you this letter on your bed instead... and some crumbs... Oops...

Your mom loved them, by the way, so they were pretty good... if that counts for something. We had a nice chat, as usual, and she told me that I should write down how I feel about you and make it very clear because you’re not all that bright.

I’m kidding! Obviously!

I love you, Molly. You’re the secret ingredient to each one of my recipes, and life without you would be like trying to cook without a decent knife.

Hell, that sounded so friggin’ corny! If that line didn’t make you puke, I hope it at least made your heart beat a little faster.

I’m getting cramps in my fingers now, and I’ve said what I wanted to say... which is that I really, really love you... in case you didn’t get it.
