Chapter 1
Walking through the woods, a beautiful girl can be seen wearing round glasses and overalls. She walks around holding her books against her chest, she’s been wandering around looking for the perfect spot to relax and read. This had become a daily thing for her, over the past few weeks she feels as though something is pulling her there. Over those weeks she had heard a voice in her head but then it would disappear. It called to her, she wanted to tell someone but she was already considered an outcast by her peers, who would believe her?
After walking for another 20 minutes she reached her favourite spot. She placed her books down and reached into her backpack. She pulled out a small blanket and unfolded it on the floor so her clothes don’t get dirty.
The reason she loved this spot in particular is because of the small creek running through it. She loved listening to the water when she read, it made her feel calm. Todays book is titled An Policeman Calls, she loved stories full of mystery and was overjoyed when her college librarian suggested it to her. she also suggested the 1954 movie to her but she’d much rather read the book.
40 minutes passed and she became hungry, she placed her book down and took a sandwich from her back. As she began to eat, a whimpering sound could be heard next to her. Not being scared so easily she looked down and found something fluffy.
“Hello there little one, don’t be scared, my name is Morgan, I won’t hurt you.” The animal looked at her and as Morgan looked closer she could see that it was a wolf pup, but she still wasn’t afraid.
“Aren’t you super cute, where did you come from?” It did nothing but stare at her.
“Morgan you’re stupid, it’s not like it can answer you back.” As she spoke to herself, she felt her lap become heavy. Looking down the pup had decided to crawl on her and lay down. So she stroked its small head.
As time passed she continued to stroke it while humming a song. Something about this feels familiar to her but she couldn’t figure out why. Suddenly a bunch of loud howls came from behind her and the little pup jumped off her lap and ran towards the sound. Morgan stood up and turned to see three wolves.
The wolf on the left had light brown fur, the wolf on the right had dark grey fur but the middle one had jet black fur. She watched as the pup playfully ran between the right ones legs.
Morgan’s Pov
“Hello, please let me leave, as you can see I didn’t bring any harm to your pup.”
I finished speaking and the black furred wolf wouldn’t take his eyes off me and at this point I began feeling intimidated. I slowly put my things into my backpack and put it on. I took small steps backwards then finally turned around and ran like my life depended on it.
I ran and ran, I could hear them chasing me. I was quite deep in the woods and couldn’t remember the way out. My heart felt like it would burst out of my chest from how fast it was beating. My head began to hurt until I heard a familiar voice.
“You need to calm down and trust them, they won’t hurt you.” I suddenly passed out and fell to the floor.

I was in my personal gym when my beta Jesse ran inside.
“Alpha, my son has gone missing, he was with his grandmother, she turned around to talk to someone and when she turned back he was gone.” His face showed nothing but worry.
I stood up and put my hands on his shoulders.
“Don’t worry, we’ll find him. Where was she when he went missing?”
“She said they were allotment gathering vegetables for lunch. Cassie came up to ask her something, so all of her attention was on her instead of my son.”
“Alright, I’ll mindlink Oscar to meet us there.” We ran out and met up with him.
We quickly turned into our wolf forms as our senses are better in this form.
We walked around for a little while until we heard someone humming past the trees. We slowly walk through and find a girl sitting down with a pup on her lap, she’s human but she’s not hurting him. I’ve never trusted humans before, all they do is hurt us but seeing this shocked me.
I look at the guys and we let out a few loud howls, the pup jumped off her lap and it was definitely Jesse’s son. The girl stood up and turned around. She didn’t look that scared to see three big wolves. I watch as she puts her things into a bag and slowly walk backwards before running.
I began to run after her and the others followed, she’s very fast for a human girl.
We caught up to her but she fell to the floor unconscious.
We turned back and stood around her, curious to who she is and why she was here.
I got closer to inspect her but she smelled different to when we saw her sitting down. She smelled human before but now she smells like us somehow and something more. I’m very confused, she never hurt my beta’s son like normal humans would.
“Alpha, my son said he took a bracelet from that girl without her noticing. I looked at it, it has a wolf on it, along with a purple crystal with a symbol we haven’t seen for many years.” I look at Jesse and Oscar with widened eyes.
“Guys, this is the symbol for the Crescent Pack. They were wiped out years ago, but I remember a rumor that the daughter of the Alpha and Luna lived. Could she be her?”
“I mean she could be, but how will we know for sure? And why does she only smell like a wolf now?” Oscar sniffed the air.
“Maybe the bracelet suppressed her wolf? Her parents could’ve asked a sorceress to enchant it before they were killed? Which means she won’t know that she’s a wolf or how to properly be a wolf. And it will probably take her a while to recognise her mate, even if she’s of age to find one. If her wolf has been suppressed for who knows how long, her wolf may not be fully developed, she might even be a little bit bigger than my son Cove. Well that’s only until she’s trained, etc.”
“I keep smelling a sweet scent. I haven’t smelled something like it before, I think it’s coming from her?” We turn around and she’s gone.
“Ahh what the hell, get off my leg!” We look at Oscar’s leg and see a cute fluffy pup with white, dark grey and tanned fur biting him.
“Hey little one can you please stop biting my friend, he’s not going to hurt you.” I asked and she let go and slumped down on to the floor.
“Now cutie, can you turn back for us?“ she stared at me, Jesse stepped forward and kneeled down.
“Listen here pup. I want you to close your eyes and empty your mind. It will help you relax and then you can change.” It did what he said and after a little time she finally turned back.
Morgan’s Pov
What the hell just happened to me? who are these people? Have I finally gone insane?
“Someone please tell me what just happened, why did I become small? I’m also sorry for biting you, I was scared. I need answers and where is my bracelet? that’s the only thing I have left from my parents!” I look on the ground and can’t find it.
“We’ll answer all of your questions but please calm down and tell us your name so we don’t have to call you girl. I’m Oscar, the one you decided to bite, that’s Jesse the father of the pup you were with and the big brooding guy is our leader and Alpha Adam.”
“My name is Morgan and I’m 24 and did he just call you Alpha?” They nod, this can’t be real. Someone is playing a prank on me right?
“It’s nice to meet you Morgan. I know you’re probably confused and think that werewolves aren’t real but here we are and we’re definitely real. You’re a wolf too, just like us, but unlike us your wolf had been suppressed for a very long time and that’s why you were small in wolf form.”
Someone needs to lock me up and throw away the key, they can’t be serious?
"So you want me to believe that you were those three wolves chasing me?" They nod again
What is happening? I'm just a simple, outcast, student, how can this happen to someone like me?
"They're telling the truth Morgan, please believe them!" I held my head as a voice spoke.
"Ahh my head, make the voice stop please!"
"Calm down, that's your wolf talking to you. Relax and listen to it." I looked into his eyes and could tell he wasn't lying. I stood there and closed my eyes.
"My name is Scout, I'm your wolf, I promise that you're not going insane. I've been here the whole time but couldn't come out or speak to you, unless you removed the bracelet. That only happened a few times but then you never took it off."
"If this is real can you tell me why this is happening? How can I be a wolf?"
"Your parents were werewolves just like the three who stand before us. Your mother had help from a sorceress to create a beautiful bracelet, it suppressed me and your wolf side from coming out. After that little pup Cove took it, that's when I was free."
"My parents? Witches? My bracelet? This is crazy. My parents died in a fire when I was a child and I was put into care."
"Look just trust them ok. Go with them and maybe they can give you more information. They won't hurt you, I promise."
"Fine! But if anything happens to me you'll be in so much trouble." She went quiet and I open my eyes.
"I'm not saying I believe you but I want more information. I'll come with you. Can we go because I'm kinda tired now."
"Great let's go." Adam said and I then watch Jesse and Oscar transform into the wolves from earlier. I blink a few times but they're still there.
Ok. Maybe they are telling the truth.
"It's going to take some time for you to get used to turning, for now you can ride on my back." He turned too and nudged my side to get me to sit on his back. Thankfully they didn't go to fast.
We arrived at a large, beautiful, wooden cabin. it was surrounded by small homes and other buildings. I climbed off Adam to see people staring at me, it made me feel uncomfortable. I suddenly felt small again.
I look up and see Adam looking down at me with a worried expression. It happened again didn't it. Why can't I control it like they do?
"Go back to your business everyone." He tells them. He then proceeds to pick me up, at first I struggled but he stokes behind my ears and it made me relax into his arms, what a cheap trick to use on me.
"You must feel uncomfortable that's why this happened, don't worry Morgan, everyone here is nice. Let's head inside. Shall I carry you or do you want to change back?" I don't know why but I snuggled into him making him smile and he took that as my answer and we went inside.
"Ahhhh, who is this cutie?" A girl ran towards us and touched my face, I didn't like it and nipped her fingers, she growled at me.
"Alice stop being so loud and in everyone's face. This is Morgan, she's kind of new to our world. So don't touch her like that." So her name is Alice? I already don't like her vibe, she's like the girls who bully me at college.
"I'm sorry Morgan. Btw how old is she? is she a child?" I snort at her. She looked insulted.
"She's 24 but something happened to her, with time she'll be fully grown. Stop being nosey and leave us alone." He motions with his hand for her to leave but she didn't.
"Haha! She's 24 and looks like that! That's so embarrassing." I had enough of her and struggled free from Adam's arms. I ran over to her and bit her leg. She definitely didn't like that as she kicked me into the wall, because of my size I instantly blacked out.
Adam's Pov
I rushed forward and knocked her down, I was fuming with anger. She hurt my mate, yes I said mate. I smelled it in the woods and I still smell it. I won't say anything until she figures it out herself. If I tell her now she may not believe me and will think that I want to get into her pants.
"How dare you hurt her! She's small you stupid bitch. I should kill you for what you just did, but you've caught me on a good day now fucking LEAVE!" She stood up and defiantly looked in my eyes. It's like she wants to die.
"Firstly she bit me twice, she deserved it, secondly she's not a member of this pack, how dare me? No, how dare you defend that small, insignificant thing over one of your pack members." Is she serious right now? Talking back, not addressing me properly and attacking my mate.
"You better learn some respect real quick before I make you submit. She bit you because you got in her face without permission and you insulted her you dumbass. She may not be a member of this pack but she will be soon and you will respect her or I will either banish you or kill you. Now get lost and go bother your mate, I feel sorry for him."
She stomped her foot and left us. She wouldn't be in this pack if her mate wasn't here. We've never really liked her.
I watch her leave through the front door and hear a whining noise to my left, I see Morgan attempting to stand up but falls back down.
"She's fine, no broken bones, maybe a little bruising on her side but she'll be alright soon. Maybe she should go upstairs and rest somewhere?" I nod but where can she go? We have a spare room now my sister left to be with her mate, or maybe my room?
"Seeing as she's my mate she'll stay in my room. It'll give her a chance to learn my scent and such." They both nod as I pick her up and walk upstairs.
"Damn, he's totally whipped for her already." Jesse whispered to Oscar.
"I know right, it's super cute. Haha." He whispered back.
"I heard that and I'm going to kill you both." I jokingly say and I hear them both run away making me laugh. They're like brothers to me, since I only had a sister growing up.
I look down at Morgan in my arms, I hope we can find the answers you need little one.
