THE COLOR OF LOVE

The story of Amanda, who faced torture in many relationships. Once she said,” I am Amanda Mohammed, born in Durban in 1982, I was brought up by a strict Catholic Mum, who taught me a lot about Christianity. I grew up in verulam whereby I did primary and secondary school, from 1988 to 2000. Then I joined Mndeni Meat Company… as a cashier. Later on I met Hakeem, a man who proposed me for the first time. Leaving with the strict parents became a big challenge to me because of some strict rules which broke my freedom. Then I thought to escape my parents and joined Bilal whom we would share love, happiness, Joyce and trouble.

As a Christian woman who fallen in love with a Muslim man, I thought of converting in Islam to make him happy… may be he could marry me.

We dated for almost 2 years before I could fall pregnant. Hakeem did not believe if I could conceive and he could not stay with me. When I conceived, he spoke to his parents and then they decided to take me. I sold myself to a monster, as people say,” you never know someone until you live with him.” I was not exposed to drugs before, I now realized that he was an addicted. The man I thought I loved became a monster. He started beating me when the baby was 3 months, I saw the hell and thought to hide in the grave alive so that he could not see me.

Whenever he knocked on the door, I felt to urinate in my cloths.

Whenever he hit me, I could scream,” forgive me honey.”

Whenever he pointed his gun on me, I dreamed scary creatures, screaming like a ghost the whole night.”

Whenever I advised him well. He used to say,” shut your big mouths crazy woman, I own you woman.

My answer was,” you will miss me one day.”

Happiness became sorrowfulness; I could not tolerate torture daily. I went through so many wrong things then I decided to divorce him.

I decided to be independent and then I rented a small room at mount view. I started a new life with my three kids … God supported us with so many things. Some Muslim brothers and sisters paid the school fees of my daughters. As I was qualified hair stylist, I opened a beauty salon in town …’BEAUTY SPAR’”

Separating with Hakeem, she fallen in love with Hashmi who treated her even worse than Hakeem. Swearing her morning, after noon and night but she was loving him truly, madly and deeply. She decided to leave Hashmi and fallen in love with Owen, who could buy her the world but they broke up early.

Lastly she met the soap of her heart, Ham and he ended up marring her. He gave happiness peace and true love.
