Compelling so far
"It's easy to think that a story about a galactic emperor's concubine might not go anywhere on the face of it, although the fact that she's the 999th should cause some intrigue, I happy to report that I couldn't be more wrong. A driving narrative with a compelling plot and questions to be answered, well-written characters and settings make this a great read even after only five chapters, with some suspense left at the end of chapter five to have you asking even more questions. I am well and truly hoping this gets finished, mainly just to see if these lingering questions find their resolutions. Good stuff so far, Zephyr Zane!!!"
