Summary

Everything changed when a forever bond was damned upon his head. Relationships and women were the last thing on his mind. Conversation and interaction with humans wasn't his cup of tea let alone getting tied to someone for the rest of his life. Knox Bernardi wasn't exactly a people person. Full of life, wild and a walking seduction. Carlotta Anderson was every men's royal dream. When forced into a marriage with a man who didn't spare her a single glance, she found herself intrigued by his ignorant nature. This hurt her ego so she made it her life mission to break him. Only if she knew, the only way into his heart was by tearing a hole through his ribcage. But once upon a while, in their chaotic marriage, his duty and her prince's lovestory finally turned into a fairytale.

Chapter 1

Knox Bernardi

Jesus fucking christ. I fucking hate paparazzi. A bunch of fucking vultures who can't keep it to themselves and have to get involved in my goddamn fucking life and business as their life isn't interesting enough. They keep shouting like a fucking animal in my ear.

Mateo, my bodyguard was in front of me and was trying to protect me from these donkeys but as usual they don't have any self respect, just trying to get close to me. Finally after a whole lot of entity we were finally able to enter the building.

"Good morning, sir." Ana, my assistent said holding a black coffee in her hand. I nodded in greeting as I took the coffee from her and start walking towards my office, ana trailing behind.

"Mr. Bernardi, Meeting room 2 is ready and it is scheduled for 3 p.m. Till then, your mother have told me to remind you about meeting with Anderson's as they will be here in 10 minutes and-"

"Shut the fuck up." I hissed under my breath but she heard me and gulped in fear.

"But your mother told me to remind-"

"I said stop talking and get out." I sharply said, rubbing my temples as the pain was starting again. She quickly left the room without saying anything else. I finally sat down on my leather chair.

Letting out a heavy sigh, I spun my chair around to admire the beauty of London from the giant glass wall behind my desk.

It felt like I was on the top of the world sitting here, on this chair, in chief executive officer's office knowing I made it after all those years.

Taking over Bernardi's Factor had always been my biggest goal and dream since I was a child. I worked my ass off from starting to get into this position. I had always wanted to be like my grandfather since I was born. He was my role model.

Being a honest business man when you were the son of mafia king seems the worst idea bit somehow I've made it work.
