Summary

He walks on eggshells; She trips over them. ------------- Quinn is a walking, talking tornado, causing mass chaos everywhere she goes. Like any good natural disaster, she flips my life upside down. I don’t know why I kissed her, but there’s no going back. The longer I'm around her, it becomes clear I’m in over my head. She’s more secrets than flesh, and I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to draw them out of her. With the dangers of my job and a past of my own, I might not be the kind of strength she needs. But it’s not in my nature to give up. Defeat is not an option.  ---------- Cassius loves to ruin my fun, always bouncing me from the club for no reason. I’m innocent – I swear! But lately, he’s been watching me in a whole new way, like he’s trying to crawl inside my head, the parasite that he is. There’s nothing going on up there, buddy. Move along! A spur of the moment kiss changes everything. The poor guy thinks he’s forcing his way in, but my defenses are top-notch. At least he’s cute when he struggles. I think I’ll just kick my feet up and watch as he tries to steal my heart. Too bad for him, the forbidden organ is buried deep, where no one will ever find it. Better just give up now, Cash-Money!
