Fractured sky
The day was sunny, people were walking down the street in a quiet way, there was even a little girl enjoying an ice cream sitting on the sidewalk with her mother, I was on my way to the office, I worked in a company that received night shifts for a Better pay than usual, so my shift started in the afternoon and ended at sunrise, it seemed like an ordinary day, which I wish it did, but in one terrible moment it all ended
Being three streets from my work, a strange crack in the sky opened, where terrible red beasts emerged. The creatures, known as demons, seemed to be everywhere, killing anyone in their path without mercy or remorse, the streets were left empty. of people except those who fled into hiding, I saw them running through the alleys like mice, desperate for anywhere to hide, demons swarming over the city.
And every time you hoped that you had lost them, a new horde appeared, bigger than the one that seemed to come out of the crack, I ran desperately there was no way to face them, the police had already succumbed, I found refuge in an old hospital, this one was gone very inhabited before the invasion, and since there was no trace of the demons, I decided to stay there for a while to wait, after having rested a bit, I decided to go around the hospital, there I found a small dispenser machine, and although it was not the healthiest thing in the world, I decided eat and drink a little of what I had to regain strength. After 30 minutes I began to walk through the corridors, when a sound of steps started to sound around, I thought I was a survivor, so I would look for the source of the sound, what would be my surprise when I saw that a strange creature with human qualities and those of a tiger was waiting for me, I tried to sneak out from there, but he had already caught my scent so I had to flee from that hospital, once outside the creature almost managed to catch me, but at that moment a rifle shot was heard, the creature was on the ground, it seemed that it was going to die, so I turned to see who my savior was, I realized that it had been an army soldier, one of many who accompanied him, behind them there were several refugees trying to flee, among them the girl and her mother leaving to the outskirts of town where we would be safe, it was not long until we heard a strong sound that scared us, when I turned around I was horrified, it was a creature, enough for each step it took star hearing a horrifying noise, they ordered the huge civilians to flee the place to go to the planned shelter. I began to run desperately towards the indicated place, without paying much attention around, while I was still lost in my thoughts, a scream took me out of them.
-Samara!Where are you dear?- Exclaimed the mother that apparently lost her child
-Mrs. calm down- I said trying to make the mother pay attention to me- What happened?
-I lost my child, and I can’t found her- said the mother with such a face of worry
-Don’t worry, I’ll help you find her-
-Thank you-
We started searching around the place, for any clue that would tell us about the whereabouts of the girl, it wasn’t easy, since the soldiers were fighting in the nears. Around the two minutes we found the girl hiding among the debris, the mother looked relieved from finding her daughter, but I couldn’t share the feeling cause suddenly the earth shaked for a moment, a tank was launched through the air, we saw the horrible scene of the soldiers loosing the battle, but then we were called to continue the escape and leave the place
