What is your opinion?

Eva

"The early episodes were a bit tedious due to the numerous plot holes and medical jargon. While the medical terms weren't so bothersome while watching the series, they were distracting when reading a book. But the later episodes were excellent. I wish there had been another episode with the honeymoon detail and the two of them having a baby."

Review

"I have always been a fan of your writing, Jenna. This novel did justice to all the hype of your writing I have in my mind. I haven’t completed it yet but I will, hopefully. All I want to say is that the research you did in this novel is AMAZING. I have so many people associated with medical and they keep on teaching me certain things and dramas always ruin the medical knowledge but you did justice to this aspect as well. Keep it up! "

Mending Hearts

"Okay, so here’s an actual review, not some weird review in order to check a new Inkitt feature (sorry about that, Jenna) 😅. Mending Hearts was a great ride! A sweet love story between Dr. Shithead and Candy-Mandy, less famously known as Caldre and Amanda 😏. The situation is kinda interesting: Caldre’s daughter died as a result of a surgical error, he blames a certain doctor for it, and Many, his new intern, just happens to also be the wife of said doctor (well... ex-wife, but Caldre doesn’t know that). So, yeah, he wanted to use her to get revenge on “his daughter’s killer” named Xenomorph, less famously known as Leroy 😏. As you might expect, it starts off tense, like He-calls-her-daughter’s-condition-karma-and-she-slapped-him sort of tense 😬. Oh, boy, Caldre really lived up to his nickname. The Caldre hate was such an era 🤩! But things simmer down between them, they get to know each other, and now Caldre’s in love 💕. As his feelings developed, he moves on from his revenge plans, but fate has a funny way of making things worse somehow 🙂. Sure, their relationship became a little bumpy, and by bumpy, I mean she-discovers-his-previous-intentions-all-along-and-gets-raped-by-her-ex sort of bumpy, but love always wins 😁! Caldre and Amanda are really interesting characters, and I certainly resonated with their struggles and heartfelt bond. Leroy is a scumbag, AND I’M DISAPPOINTED THAT HE DIDN’T DIE A SLOW, PAINFUL DEATH 🤬🤬🤬🤬!!! And Brenna... SHE MAKES ME WANNA HAVE A DAUGHTER OMG SHE’S SO PRECIOUS AND ADORABLE 😭😭😭😭😭!!! It’s been excellent, but I will have to note that you could’ve done better on Brenna’s surgery instead of just skipping over it. It was missed opportunity, not gonna lie 😕. You could’ve shown Caldre’s guilt towards Dana and his resolve to rescue Brenna through this surgery, but still, you did pretty well all-in-all. I certainly enjoyed this book! CALDRE AND MANDY 4EVA 🥰!"

Loved!

"This story was just so real overall and I loved that. Brenna has my whole heart she is so precious and the love between Mandy and Caldre is beautiful and so pure which I loved to see as well. They both been through a lot and found love in the midst of that. Very hopeful. I am but an aspiring cardiologist so that's another layer to my love for this book with how realistic the medical aspects were and how passionate the characters are in their work, their friendships and family life. Again, I loved to see it. Also your use of metaphors was great. The whole review can be summarized as I love to see it"

Well written story!

"You really did your research on this story. As a medical person myself, I usually avoid reading or watching medical dramas because some of it is just so farfetched! Your story is just the opposite, and I am so glad I read it! Thanks for a lovely story!"

Great

"The book was amazing. But it would have been nice if it told us about the honeymoon, did they have kids, did Brenna grow up and become a vet etc!"

Amazing love story

"I loved this story and read it in one day. It seemed very medically accurate, and as a scientist, I appreciated all the research that led to realism in the story. The characters are what made this story one I couldn't stop reading. I was rooting for Caldre and Amanda, and this author didn't disappoint me. I fell for the whole thing and can't wait to read more from this author."

Green Exchange Awards ‘25

"I appreciate how well-researched this story is. And the story as a whole is very well written with few errors. This is definitely a must-read for medical romance lovers. The only reason this isn’t a five star review is the interactions between Amanda, the doctors and Brenna. Without giving anything away for the readers that haven’t read this story yet, I will refrain from going into detail here. I would love to see a different approach to these interractions. On the whole, well done, author. Keep writing!"

Mending Hearts

"*This review is given in part of the 2025 Green Exchange Awards* "Mending Hearts" tells the tale of two heart surgeons--Caldre and Amanda--who are assigned to work together. First butting heads, they slowly start to get to know each other, opening up their wounded hearts along the way. Their characterization is so strong from the beginning, as is many of the side characters like Brenna, Amanda's daughter, and her twin brothers. It's a heartwarming tale showing the healing power of love and togetherness paired alongside two doctors who deal with matters of the heart both inside the OR and out. Their story is slow-developing given their histories and is really well done by Jenna to make them feel real, characters with highs and lows, good moments and bad ones. The choice to have it be dual-POV was a genius one on Jenna's part, getting to get inside their heads and see misconceptions they have about each other and seeing them slowly open up, heal, make connections--it's great to see--and paired with beautiful imagery makes it hard to put down. Can't speak to the medical realism since it isn't my forte but great care has obviously been put to research and make it as realistic as can be. There were some grammar/word choice errors among other things that have been sent privately to Jenna. All in all, I would recommend this story to fans of heart-warming romances with large, great cast of characters!"
