Story 1- Finding Sophia
Anna and Leia giggled as they rolled through the grass, tumbling into one another. Weeee...called out Anna as she smiled brightly. Come play, come play Anne called out to Leia. Suddenly Leia looked up from the beautiful flower she was holding gently.
Leia giggled as she walked across the backyard towards the beautiful growing lilies, ignoring her sister’s call. She heard a tiny giggle coming from the bush next to them. She wondered what could have made that noise as her curiosity peeked.
“Anna, I heard something in the bush!” She called her sister.
“What do you mean? What did you hear, Leia?” She asked.
“I heard a tiny giggle. It’s come from over here!” Leia answered.
Just as they were about to push the branches aside, they were called to come to eat lunch. They sighed, wanting to know what made the noise, but went inside. Leia sat down on her chair and looked at the back door wanting to go back outside already.
As food was placed in front of them, they began eating as they heard a tiny giggle coming from just outside of the back door. Anna started to get antsy, wanting to see for herself, but she needed to eat first.
She began to take large bites of her food as a voice corrected her eating.
“If you eat like that, you will choke. Nothing is more important than you are eating slowly, so that doesn’t happen.” The voice instructed.
She nodded as she slowed her speed while eating, as her eyes never left the back door. Once completed with her lunch, she smiled as she scurried to the back door. The tiny giggles were still clear and loud.
“Who are you?” Anna asked.
A giggle was all the reply I heard as Leia approached from behind, trying to look around her sister. Anna grinned widely, realizing whoever had this tiny voice was playing a game with her.
“Hehe.” Came once again from the soft voice.
Leia’s eyes lit up, knowing this had become a hide-and-seek game! Her sister gently pushed her as her head whipped around, looking for the person the little voice was attached to.
“Come on, let’s play!” Leia squealed in excitement.
Anna heard a rustling within the shrubs as she ran off in that direction; to her amazement, it was behind her a moment later. Confusion crossed Anna’s face, but there was no giving up. She was determined she and her sister would win this little game.
“You’re sneaky!” Leia squealed in happiness.
Before she could even move, a poof of something shot into the air. Both girls stopped moving as they looked up into the air, wondering what it could have been. To their amazement, tiny little sparkles were floating down in the air. Smiles filled their faces as they slowly became covered in shiny sparkles.
As they were always told, we should always share our toys and unique things with others. It makes them feel as though they matter. So why was this little friend not sharing? The girls wondered.
The sisters began to tire from running around the backyard as they sat on the ground, looking at one another. Saddened that the one who started playing with them was making it hard on them, they seemed to give up on trying to catch or find her.
“Sissy, why is she hiding like this instead of coming out so we can play together?” Anna asked.
“I don’t know. It’s not very nice!” Leia sighed in frustration.
She didn’t like to see her sister upset. They are protective of one another and love even stronger.
“Teasing isn’t nice. If you want to play with us, then come out!” Anna spoke in a sad tone.
“I’m sorry. I wasn’t trying to tease you. I thought I was playing.” The little soft voice replied.
A second later, something flashed into their vision. They both looked and finally realized what they saw. A little fairy stood on Anna’s shoulder as a tiny hand waved hi to them both.
“I am Sarah. I really do want to play with you both. You seem very nice!” She said happily.
Sophia stood on Anna’s shoulder. She was about three inches tall, with a beautiful pink dress that flowed in the air every time she moved. It looked as if she were covered in sparkles in the sunlight. Both girls smiled as they knew they had made a friend who would be there no matter what.
“Do you want to play tag with us?” Leia asked Sophia.
Sophia began to jump into the air as her little wings would flutter, and she spun in place. The girls smiled as they watched her excitement.
Anna stood up, looking at Sophia to ensure she didn’t knock her off. Once they both were standing, Anna smiled widely.
“Ready, set, go!” She squealed out in excitement.
The girls ran in different directions as Sophia flew after Leia, trying to catch her. Giggles filled the air as they continued chasing one another until they all seemed worn out as they sat on the grass.
“Can we play tomorrow?” Anna asked.
“I am not sure. I can’t find my family and need to find them.” She spoke sadly.
“You can stay here until you find them. We want you to be safe and comfy. We were given a large doll house last year, you could stay in that if you would like. It is in our room. We can be roommates.” Anna chimed out.
Suddenly they were called in for dinner. Sophia hid under Anna’s hair so she would not be seen while they went to eat.
“I will save some food for you, Sophia, and give it to you when we get to our room.” She informed her.
The girls sat at the table with smiles, showing they had a wonderful day through sheer joy.
“So what did you girls get up to that you are so happy?” They were asked.
“We just were playing and having fun!” They both answered at once.
The girls ate and asked to be excused from the table. When they were told yes, they ran off toward their bedroom. They were excited to show Sarah her new bedroom as well.
As they entered their bedroom Sophia hum’s their room. The girls were unsure why, but they would ask.
“No room is a bedroom unless it has SPARKLES!" She chimed out as she threw tons into the air, coating the furniture’s surface in the room.
The girls bust out into laughter, knowing this would be a hard one to explain. Leia showed Sophia to the doll house, where Sarah seemed to enjoy it.
“Thank you all for caring about me even though you didn’t know me! That is a special gift you both hold. True compassion in your hearts, never change!” Sophia chimed out as she walked to the miniature bed.
he girls climbed into their beds, pulling the covers up and smiling as they watched the doll house intently.
“Sweet dreams, Sophia! Welcome home!” They both spoke at once.
Knowing there would be many more adventures with Sophia, they closed their eyes as dreams filled their heads of flying and having fairy wings. Lovely dreams for unique girls!
