I forgot

How to love

How to laugh

Without your name.

But now,

I feel the pain,

I feel the urge

To remember Your name.

Maybe

I have lost you,

Maybe I have forgotten about you,

But my heart seems to remember

And love you.

Though time has passed

And memories fade,

My love for you

Will never dissipate.

Your name may slip

From my tongue and pen,

But the essence of you

Lives on within.

And so I’ll cherish

All that we shared,

And hold on to the love

That will never be impaired.
