Chapter 1
After we discovered and apprehended the Lunas Mortis, a massive investigation began between the Packs and the Council to see if anyone else was involved. Brad and my dad interrogated James more than once, and those apprehended by the guard as well, we discovered a few more guards and one of the admin. I even thought about confronting him, but Brad vetoed me, even more so with the pregnancy, he was treating me like I was made of glass. After that, the prisoners were sent to the Council and we needed to plug the holes that this whole war caused, mainly to define the new leadership of the Guard.
In addition, we started the project to expand the logging company, and I was happy with something else to work on, but the routine of inspection and organization of the work, together with Luna’s routine, was leaving me exhausted. "I love your visits, but you really should be wearing a helmet here." I said as I pulled him to the side while the winch lifted another beam right next to us. "Let’s go to the office." I said pointing for us to go down and go to my office in the container office that we put nearby. "But is this a visit from Alfa wanting to know the progress of the work, or from my partner wanting to see me?"
He walked with me through the construction site, dodging obstacles and almost getting his shoe dirty.
"Both." He said arriving at the office and pulling me again. "I know it’s been two months, but I still can’t get enough of hearing you call me mate." He gave me another kiss, but this time it was more involving. My hands went directly to his neck and I pulled him close, I felt Brad strange my reaction, but he wrapped me in his arms and my hormones acted fast making me completely excited, I wanted him, I needed him, and now… My hands went to his pants and I squeezed his erect cock through his clothes, making him pull our lips away to groan and face me… I was about to undo the button on his pants when the sound of the office door opening made me take two steps back. And Brad quickly turned away.
"Luna Alice, the three beams have already been placed…" My foreman Mike said while I blinked trying to compose myself. He saw Brad there too. "Alpha." He said greeting.
Brad sat down on my desk to disguise his erection and greeted Mike back.
"Mike". Brad just said.
"Great Mike, any news on the bricks? Do they arrive tomorrow?" I said going to the table to get an invoice and, with my back to Mile, I cast a malicious look at Brad.
"Probably, but I’ll call there just in case. You don’t come back in the afternoon, do you? So I needed a conference this morning."
"Yes, I won’t be back after lunch. Okay Mike, you can go ahead and I’ll meet you." I replied nodding and Mike got out of the container.
"I thought you were already going to the House of the Pack with me, dear." Brad said getting up.
"Me too, but I need to do the conference in the morning, I’ll meet you there at lunch, and we can finish what we started while we rest before the meeting." I said approaching him again and pulling his face to kiss him, but he held back in a quick kiss and pushed me away slowly.
"I need to get out of here without embarrassing myself Alice..."
I let out a hearty laugh, before releasing him and that wonderful man monument stalked out of my office, dodging the woods and making me appreciate every inch of him as he walked away. I sighed heavily and rubbed my belly gently.
"We’re lucky to have him..." I confessed to our baby, before leaving too and meeting Mike for that conference.
