Chapter 1

Winter's POV

As I finally arrive at my seat I immediately sit down and lay my head on my desk ready to go back to sleep.

"You stayed up all night again didn't you?"

I groan in response trying to ignore the girl next to me only for her to chuckle at my response. "I keep telling you not to stay up too late on a Wednesday because of our early classes the next day but you never listen." she says in a sing-song tone.

"Shut up Daisy."

Like that's ever gonna happen.

Daisy and I have been best friends since we were teenagers. Glued to the hip. Despite the total difference in our personality she's always been at my side.

"Oh! I wonder when the new girl will arrive." Daisy says bringing me out of my thoughts as I look at her confused. She shakes her head, disappointment written on her face. "I knew you weren't listening to me. There a new girl who'll be attending our class. She switched from being a business major."

"what is this high school where everyone gets excited over the new kid? Where do you even get this stuff?" I ask her turning my head to face her.

She shrugs looking down at me, "I hear stuff. Besides I'm excited to meet her; I like meeting new people."

I hum in response sitting up."I don't see any unusual faces." she says looking around the huge room. I watch Daisy from the corner of my eye as she searches the room carefully. Just as she was about to say something our professor walks in greeting us.

Yay

"That's all for today guys. Don't forget to study for Mondays test." our professor says dismissing us.

Ready to go I stand up while waiting for Daisy as she packs her stuff.

"uhg where's this new girl?" Daisy whines as she stands aswell. "You mean me?" I voice sounds from behind us causing both of us to turn. There sits a girl with a unfamiliar face with dark brown hair framing her facing. Her brown eyes looking at us confused.

"Oh! Yes hello there I'm Daisy and this is Winter." she says enthusiastically pointing to the both of us. She stands up almost matching my height. I couldn't help but check her out. Her all black outfit fitting her body perfectly. "I'm Avery" the girl says causing my eyes to look up at hers; a warm smile on her face. "It's nice to meet you."

I keep my eyes locked on her, analyzing her as Daisy speaks to her. As I snap out of my thoughts I remind Daisy that we need to go to out next class ending what she was saying.

"Oh that's right. Sorry but we have to go. See you around bye!" Daisy says as I pull her out with me.

"Bye.." I hear softly from behind me.

"Hey what was that about?" she asks as we walk to out next class. "What was what about?"

"Nothing"

We arrive at out next class and sit in out usual seats and got ready. "She was pretty and hot. Seemed kind of scary too.." I look at her with a brow raised. "..like a bad girl." she finishes off quietly.

I guess she is..

Avery's POV

DAMN SHE WAS HOT

It's been a whole day and still can't get her out of my mind. I keep thinking about her. They way she looked bored but still so flawlessly beautiful and hot at the same time. Her long hair, that was half white at the top and rest black flowed down her back and framed her face showing off her defined jaw . Her pretty lips. She was wearing baggy clothes but I assume her body was great aswell. And oh my fucken god those eyes. Those bright sharp grey eyes. The very eyes that checked me out. When she spoke I was intrigued by her voice. I just can't get over how good she looked and she definitely had my interest.

There's just something about her...

Winter.

I'm knocked out of my thoughts as I bump into someone as I'm walking. "Sorry" I apologize to the guy the guy and offer to help him up but hits my hand away instead. "Watch where your going bitch! There are other people walking here!" he gets up grabbing me by my shirt and starts yelling.

Calm down Avery. Calm down.

"Look I said I was sorry." I clench my jaw trying to stay calm and get out of his grip. "You think sorry is gonna fix thi-" "Dude just let it go. It was an accident and she said sorry." one of his friends cut him off. He looked between me and his friend, clearly pissed and thinking before nodding and letting me go.

His friend gives an apologetic look as they walk away.

"Stupid bitch" I hear him mumble. That's it. "Hey!" I shout at him causing him to turn around as my fist collides with his stupid face.

He stumbles back slightly before gaining his balance. "How about you say that to my face." I say to him anger fueling my body.

"Fine you stupid bitch." he says as he comes right up into my face with a smirk.

And that's when I lost it. I tackled him to the ground and started punching him as he tried to fight back. I was being being pulled off of him by someone as his friend kept a hold of him as he continued to try and get to me. He eventuallygot ahold of me and threw me off of him and hit me a couple of times before I kneeded him in the stomach till he fell over. As I was about to get over him I was pulled away and held in place.

"Both of you stop now!" a man a yelled. He let go of me once I slightly calmed myself.

We were both brought to the professors office where we were yelled at and given warnings. Lucky there weren't many people around so he let us off easy.

Because of all the scratches and scrapes I got from the hard tar I was sent to the nurse.

What a great fucken day.

Our professor took me to the nurses office. As we get there the door is open.We walk into the room and I see someone sitting behind the desk reading a book.

"Winter please help aid to miss Clark."he says as she looks up and sets her book down and nods to the professor. He let's go of me and walks away.

I connect eyes with her, those same grey eyes as yesterday that I can't seem to stop thinking about.
