Chapter 1
The ocianic waves rammed onto Alex's rowing boat. He shivered as the freezing water sprayed into his eyes. Momently blinded, he couldn't see the massive jagged rocks that surrounded the island.
His boat slammed onto the rocks completely oblivating it. This sent him flying onto the hard, sandy ground.
He landed awkwardly on his side and coughed up blood. He felt darkness closing in on him. Then he fell unconscious.
Alex finally woke up. He shifted onto his other side. A sharp pain ran along his spine. Through his squinted, blood shot eyes, he just managed to see the ocean lapping on the bank.
Out of the corner of Alex's eye, he saw a blurry figure of a girl, near where he was laying. "Hey!" Alex tried to shout, but it came out a sloppy wet whimper. "Help me..." He rasped.
She must have heard him as the girl walked up to him, grinning like a shark stalking it's prey. As she got closer to him, Alex saw that she was around 10 years old.
She wore a ratty, brown dress that was too big for her scrawny malnourished body. She bent down and rolled Alex onto his back. He hissed in pain.
"Who are you?" Alex demained.
"I'm Mori! What's your name?" She squeaked.
"Alex..." He hesentenly replied. She just nodded.
She suddenly grabbed Alex's ankles with her podggy hands. Alex felt painiced. "Where are you taking me, Mori?"
"To my hideout!" She said in a sickly sweet sing song voice.
"Why?" Alex blurted out. Mori shook her head dramatically at him.
"To help you silly!" Mori responded as she half-dragged, half-carried Alex to the cave she called home.
