Summary

Many dreamt of being a princess, believing it to be a life of luxury and ease. But they were wrong. In this magical kingdom, being a princess meant you were born into a world of treachery and deceit. The golden spoon you were served with could be laced with a deadly poison. Your only ally was your sword, the one thing that could keep you alive in a world where everyone was your enemy. Trusting those around you, even your own parents, was a dangerous game. For in the court of the king and queen, everyone had their own agenda, and it was up to you to figure out who to trust. Harsh words meant nothing in this world. The only way to win was through a battle of wits and patience. But that didn't mean you couldn't bring a sword. Being a princess was not just a title; it was a responsibility. You had to fulfill your duties with dignity at all times, and age was no excuse for weakness. The palace was no place for children, and it was certainly no place for the weak. I did everything I could to survive, studying and learning until I passed out. I made sure to be polite and dignified, fitting of a princess. I craved my mother's affection, but I knew better than to show it. In her eyes, I was nothing but a disappointment, a mistake that she made as a princess. To her, I was an eyesore, a threat to her power.

Chapter 1

Elysium, a “perfect” world the Gods made to separate humans and non-human creatures. A paradise for those who carries the blood of the ancient gods and monsters, a place full of peace, laughter and brightness.

Jupiter made Elysium a place for peace, and each of the gods who stands within the inner circle of caelum blessed this world with a unique characteristics to fit both demi human and monsters.

Everything is perfect, just how they like it. But it seems as if not everyone wanted peace, after millenniums of peace an Oracle came bursting through the palace doors, telling them the new prophecy that came .

A blazing fire slowly eating up their peaceful world, a monster huge and powerful wrecking havoc in all of Elysium. The gates of tartaros destroyed, and the monster guarding the gates is dead.

The oracles interpreted it as Saturn coming back and wrecking havoc.

Soon as fear of Saturn consumed people of Elysium, it was easier to corrupt them, it was easier to make them turn and start killing each other.

The peaceful world of Elysium was turned into a place of chaos , chaos that involves blood of innocent demi-humans, blood of innocent people.

Thus guardians were born, the gods of caelum descended from caelum, bestowed gifts to the demi humans and promised them one thing.

“As long as guardians lives, no harm shall befall Elysium. Saturn shall find no chance” was Jupiter’s words.

Yet Pluto had another idea, after giving his blessing to one demi human he stepped up and uttered words in attempt to Soothe their people.

“A guardian born with my mark shall only be born every after 30 Years, they shall act as messenger to you humans. A bridge between us and you” whispers were heard yet none were against the idea, even the gods themselves agreed.

But as it was seen once more, demi humans are still humans, and they can easily be blinded by greed and envy.

And even guardians can be corrupted.

Thus as the prophecy came, a prophecy about a guardian who carries the mark of Pluto. No one knows what the real revelation was, but they know one thing.

“The guardian born with the mark of death shall suffer a terrible end, she shall bring chaos back to Elysium. Tartaros shall open and flames will cover Elysium”

No evidence of such prophecy were recorded in official scrolls yet a massive hunt for guardians of Pluto were ensued.

Elysium a world that was once united, has now been divided by groups. War has polluted their world just like humans, even with the guardians there was no way of stopping such event.

And it was easier to corrupt them.

Easier to make them do things, there was one mistake in the blessings the gods of caelum gave they never made sure that the people they give the blessing too wouldn’t abuse the power they hold and that mistake will lead the world they made to ashes.

------------**********----------------------- *************** --------------

Year 19 hundreds the first guardian who bears the mark of Pluto was born, 18 years after that war broke out, A war between the kingdoms, soon Elysium was separated into two factions.

The Western empire led by the Emperor helio who also carries the blood of Zeus within his veins.

The southern empire led by Emperor krono younger brother of the Emperor of the southern empire.

The war came to an end 5 years after with the death of the 7th guardian and destruction of the most powerful family within the two empire. A small price to pay for “peace” according to the brothers, a peace that is only going to be temporary.

PRESENT TIME :

The sun hasn’t risen yet, and I’m sitting on the front porch outside the house, peering at the forest lines for movement. Even though there is no threat in my immediate vicinity, all of my senses are on high alert. All that can be heard are the wind’s rustling noises and the distant crow’s cawing.

My mother startled me and asked, “Why are you up so early?”

I was so preoccupied with the presence encircling the woods that I didn’t

notice My mother’s foot steps approaching.

My mother is a kind woman who is loving and affectionate; she took me in when I was a little child, cared for me, and thought me what I knew.

“What’s upsetting you lovely child?” she questioned, holding my shoulder and lovingly massaging it.

“It’s nothing,” I muttered, lying through my teeth; she raised her brow and gazed deep within my soul.

“Do not lie to me, my child, tell me what’s wrong, maybe this old woman will be able to soothe your worries,” a giggle can be heard from inside the cabin, drawing both of our attention to it.

“Old woman ha as if,” it said, a little sarcastically.

“Oh shut up, you devil spawn,” mother muttered as she took the cup of coffee the beast had handed her, and I did the same.

“Truly mother, it’s nothing, I simply can’t sleep,” I said, she’s maintaining my gaze to check if I was lying.

“There must be a reason, dear child,” she whispered gently stroking my cheeks. My gaze fell on her left cheek, a scar that will never heal.

A scar I left.

“Are you still upset by the scar child?” she wondered, concerned. I said nothing and simply turned aside, 3 years.... My power had been manifesting aggressively for three years, and the minute it did, I wounded my mother.

I was so overwhelmed by the madness that I couldn’t even recognize

her voice; I was so obsessed that I couldn’t stop myself and nearly cut half of her face off Fortunately, Erebus is present to put me to sleep and ensure that I don’t become so captivated with it that I lose myself.

“I can hear it again,” I admitted. Her eyes softened, and I could sense pity in them.

“Don’t feel sorry for me, mother,” I replied, turning away and back to the woodland lines.

“I do not pity you my love, that madness is something that can be managed, you must rule over it and do not allow it ever overtake you again, this scar shall be a harsh reminder for you that you should never let madness get the better of you, and with that you can survive and be stronger,”

I didn’t respond, I just don’t know how because no matter what she says, all I could think of was that if I lose control, I would become a monster, a monster that would bring destruction everywhere I go. Mother then kissed the top of my head before entering the cabin.

I could hear rustling leaves and bushes’ foot steps coming from the forest line a few minutes after mother walked inside. I closed my eyes and concentrated on the footsteps; a monster from the forest’s outskirts is approaching the inner plain, which can only mean one thing.

The forest has been invaded by someone.

“Mother!, I’m going for a walk,” I stated loudly enough for her to hear. I walked away without waiting for a response and carefully set the half-empty coffee cup down on the closest table.

I choose to fly instead of run because it is quicker and allows me to observe a much larger area of the forest to determine the location of the problem.

“Halt,” I mutter to the beast on the run. I can see him clearly through my enhanced eyes , and telepathy is the most effective method of communication.

“lady” I’m confident that someone is in charge of a creature with telepathic abilities; thus it makes sense that it can understand telepathic communication

“Why are you running into the inner field, and to which sanction do you belong?” I asked.to outsiders the forest may seem like a place full of only mindless monsters but each part of the forest has their own sanctions where someone is taking care of them and making sure they do not cross borders and over hunt each other.

“I’ve come to convey words of Lady Vera, my lady. intruders have passed the outside boundaries, murdering tons of guards and beasts there, and trees are being squeezed of their life, They’ve probably arrived at the first border. lady Vera is on her way to stall time. ” Vera’s area, they’ve come to collect something, high chance to mercenaries.

Mercenaries who think they can sneak into this forest unnoticed are ought to die.

“Make sure Mother does not leave the cabin, Erebus.” i sent Erebus a warning telepathically and left.

I flew into the inner forest near Vera’s territory; the first priority is to reinforce the barriers near the cabin to ensure that no one gets in, and that mother is safe. Then, for additional safety, a mirage barrier is created just outside of the cabin.

I enhanced my eyes once more to see the ground more clearly; there are a total of ten persons spread out. There are two swordsmen, two shields men, two healers, and the remainder are wizards. As I can see, this party is filled with specialists. but I don’t think its only them. something is hiding through the tree lines and I could scent more people from other directions that my eyes cant see.

I can see Vera creeping behind the wizards.

“Vera, bind the mages with vines, cover their mouths, and bind their hands so no spells can be uttered, ” I instructed through telepathy. Vera didn’t respond but moved fast, bounding the mages with vines, covering their mouths, and binding their hands so no spells could be uttered.

However, she was not quick enough because one of the wizards was able to transmit a signal to the rest of the party; however, with all of them gathered in one spot, it is much easier to kill them.
