"Hyacinth... I regretted everything, I never thought it would be this way."

Deep down, somewhere far,there is a couple who lives inside a forest, they are so perfect that many noble are jealous of them. The man asked his wife to give him a male heir, the wife agreed -but it didn't turned out according to their plan.

The wife have so many miscarriages, year by year. At last they were blessed by a child, however it was a girl a beautiful black haired girl. She looks nothing like her father- but she's pretty as her mother.

"What should we name her?" asked the mother, " Give me a list." demands the father.

"Lizzy" "Weak"

"Lianna" "Common"

"Liv" "short"

"Zara" "no"

"Illyria" "... Sounds perfect, but something is missing.."

They paused for a moment, thinking what is missing. "Laurel" said by an unknown voice, the Navemena family was shocked to hear that voice, too familiar that shivers went down to their spine "Who is it?" Asked the father.

No replies were given, but a name was offered. "Laurel, Illyria Laurel." Her father exclaimed. That day March 27 a beautiful child was born.

8 years later

Same days

Illyria grow to be a beautiful child. During her training as a witch she caught something in the woods. "Focus Llyr " her instructor shouted. Illyria snapped back and continue.

After training she went to her mother and asked "Mom, what's beyond that wood?" as she pointed outside the window " what's outside?" "What are humans?" This 2 thoughts circled around her mind while waiting for her mother's answer.

"Just full of trees darling, now your father called for you. He's in his study, you may go now." Her mother replied. Illyria was disappointed hearing that there is nothing but trees, but she have to suck it up and go to her father's study.

"Good evening father." Greeted Illyria

"Take a seat." Her father instructed. Illyria sit, as her father narrowed his eyes on her.

"I'll be sending you away.

Illyria was in shock hearing those words from her father.

"Do not you worry it's safe, and it's a camp for witches like you."

"Yes father and thank you." Illyria know that she wasn't really loved by her father, but she decided to follow his orders.

"I'll be sending you off tomorrow." Her father added.

Tomorrow

The send off

It is morning Illyria is preparing to go to the witch camp she wears her black blazer, white polo and her black pants.

"I'm ready to go." Illyria sighed.

"Hold on dear." Her mother stopped her

"I want you to take this, this is a treasure that I want you to take a good care." Her mother smiled and handed her a golden time necklace.

"This will help you, and remind you of me." Her mother looked at her in the eyes with happiness.

"This will help you in the future Llyr, so never give it to anyone or exchange it over anything, not even gold." Her mother kissed her forehead and embrace her tightly.

"I promise I'll take a good care of it mother." Illyria smiled and thanked her mother.

The carriage arrived infront of their mansion "It's time for me to go. Bye mother, please tell dad that I'm gone!" Illyria waved. "Bye Llyr take care! I love you." Her mom said. "I love you too mom." Illyria replied.

The journey

During the journey Illyria was full of worries and sadness, she was very overwhelmed and couldn't face it. She holds the necklace that her mother gave her, know she'll be gone for months or years. The carriage stop for a moment, illyria get off and saw a predator, the predator run to her and Illyria positioned her arms and hand to be in action "Blast!" Shouted the little girl, the predator scratched her arm and Illyria groaned , she then saw a sword and grab it, she swing her sword to the right where the predator head located, but she missed (goofy ahh bitch can't get things right).

"Great." Illyria rolled her eyes, She swing the sword again and cut the predator head, it was over Illyria ran to her guards seeing if anyone was hurt, gladly nobody was. "It's a mess, I'm glad y'all are okay." Illyria sighed and went back, "No time to waste, if my father knew that I am not on the camp on time, he'll be mad." Illyria brushed off her thoughts and went inside the carriage, her guards followed her instructions.

Arrival

After 4 hours of traveling, they managed to get on the camp safely "Welcome Miss Navemena!" A woman greet her with joy, "I am your camp guide, Park Ranger Luary Ruehl." The hyper park ranger introduce herself, Illyria decide to introduce herself too "Nice to meet you park ranger Luary, I am Illyria Navemena." The park ranger smiled and said "Nice to meet you too Illyria! Now, can you tell me about yourself? Like, are you a powerful Navemena? What's your magic?" Illyria nods and say "I am Illyria Laurel Navemena, yes I am one of the powerful daughter of the Navemena bloodline, my magic is dark magic."

Luary smiled "Fantastic! Now, let's begin our tour!" Luary said excitingly. Luary begins to show her everywhere and helping Illyria familiarize her surroundings, "So this is where you train your magic, all I can say is you're the only one who is a dark magic user, but don't worry you won't be alone." Luary smiled. "I see, where's the other witches?" Illyria was confused, if this is a witch camp why are there no witches around,

"You're the first one to arrive, the

others are probably still on their way, I'm supposed to do the tour by group but I want to prioritize you first." Luary explained, "I see." Illyria said.

After the tour

After going everywhere Illyria was tired she collapsed into the bed and fell into a deep sleep. "Laurel."

chants a mysterious voice, in her dream she saw a lady "Laurel" the unknown lady blast off magic, an unknown kind of magic, "What magic was that?" Illyria thought, she didn't realize that everything is covered in blood, "Illyria" Illyria woke and she was breathing rapidly, "Illyria?" Illyria started hearing her name, she turned at her left and saw a blonde girl who is the same age as her,

"Oh, I didn't mean to startle you." the blonde girl hummed softly, "Ranger Luary told me to greet you, I am Ashley Smith from Lagoon City." Ashley greeted with a warm smile, "Hello Ashley, I'm Illyria, Illyria Laurel Navemena." Illyria smile, "I can see that you are new here, here this is a charm for new comers." Ashley hands her a red butterfly charm, "Thanks." Illyria smiled and keep the charm. "Oh by the way , this is our scout's uniform" Ashley placed the uniform at a table "You should get ready, we have a dinner later." Ashley advices and left.

Illyria nods and take the uniform, " Baggy pants, and Boleyn shirt, its boring. But looks like there's a robe for it." Illyria thought, she changed her clothes and wear the robe since its pretty cold. She head out to the main ground

Dinner time

Witches gathered to a table waiting for announcements and new comers

Luary walks in the stage and she's happy to see young witches gathering again.

"Good evening Boleyn Trainees, we have gathered again since last 5 months of break, I am happy to see your faces again. Now, I want to welcome new comers, apparently 2 we're accepted, one is already trained completely and is heading to Boleyn University after 7 months of training here, and one is spending their time with us, gathering, fighting, helping, and a lot of adventures." Luary announced.

"Please welcome Amber Fritz and Illyria Laurel Navemena." Luary claps her hands and signal the two witches to go up the stage, once Illyria stepped in witches are shock because the power of her aura "Navemena? Don't tell me... She's a daughter of a powerful Navemena."

A witch whisper

"Her aura tells everything, her father must be powerful."

"Alright enough gossiping about Illyria, surely she'll be a good friend to all of you. And she's the one who'll be spending 7 months with us, and Amber will be with us for 19 months." Luary smiled, "You too can take your seats" she whispered.

"Illyria! Amber! Come join us!" Ashley waved at them and invites them to seat and eat with them.

After dinner

After dinner, Illyria went to her dorm and start brushing her hair, she saw a scissors and wants to cut her hair,

"I know what's on your mind." Ashley enters the dorm and smile

"What's on my mind?" Illyria turned to Ashley and tilt her head, "You want to cut your beautiful hair." Ashley said while taking off her robe, "You can tell by my actions?" Illyria asked "Yeah, you were looking at the scissors for solid 3 minutes, it was obvious that you want to cut something." Ashley said, "You're right, I want to cut my hair." Illyria admitted

"Do you know, hair holds your memory?" Ashley asked. "Yeah I know. But somehow I still want to cut my hair." Illyria shrugged.

"Laurel"

Illyria heard the voice and wonders "Who's that?" Illyria wondered, "Illyria?" Ashley called her name, she's a little shock that Illyria stopped moving for a minute, she doesn't know what's happening with her. "Uh sorry. I'm so sleepy." Illyria lies "Oh okay, it been a long day so let's rest, good night Illyria." Ashley went to her room and slept, "Who's calling me?"

Next morning

Illyria woke up and decide to cut her hair, Ashley saw her cutting her hair and gave a worried look, "I'm pretty sure you'll look pretty Illyria." Ashley encourage her. Illyria looks at Ashley and smile "Thanks.", Ashley smile and went out.

Illyria's hair:



"Uh, mother will not like this." Illyria sighed as she brush her hair.

Illyria went out and went to her training session, she walks through trees and finding her Training ground "Where's the dark arts?" Illyria thought, for 10 minutes she managed to find the Dark arts training grounds, although she's 5 minutes late, the trainer doesn't care cause she's the only trainee who's gonna come.

"Hello miss, I am Illyria Laurel Navemena, I was assigned here." Illyria bowed, "Oh I see..." the trainer arched an eyebrow, "Well, you're 5 minutes late. Let's start." the trainer said, "So Navemena, what have you learned?" the lady asked,

"Basics and intermediate knowledge of the dark arts, Miss." Illyria hummed, the lady smirked

"So you're advance?"

"Yes"

The lady smiled.

"I am Xyena Kye, your trainer." The blonde lady smiled softly

Illyria nods, "Hello trainer Kye." Xyena smiles and start training Illyria

"So, what's your goal in life?" Xyena asked the blacked haired girl

Illyria look at her with confusion, "Every witch must have a goal in life, mine is to find a place for me to rest, in order to find that place every evil things must be gone." Illyria look at Xyena

"It's hard for me to say." Illyria sighed and look at the beautiful scenery, Xyena smiled and continue training Illyria.

Night time 7:30

Trainings have ended

Illyria was exhausted from training, she went to her room and change into her pyjamas, Illyria groaned as she stretch her arms, she realize that she haven't eaten yet and there's a feast going on in the nearby lake, Illyria doesn't want to socialize so she decided to cook for herself

Ashley went inside their dorm and smells oil, "Who's cooking an egg when there's a feast in the nearby lake?" Ashley thought, her guesses is her sister and Amber, she went to the kitchen and saw Illyria cooking, well that was unexpected, "Lily, why are you cooking when there's a big feast?"

Ashley asked, "A big feast have a big amount of people." Illyria reply, Ashley immediately knew that she doesn't want to socialize, so she just leave a smile.

Illyria finish cooking and is ready to eat. "Laurel"

Illyria paused for a while and ignore it, she have been hearing this voice everytime, she got use to it, but time by time the voice keep getting louder.

The name Laurel was never a choice Illyria thought, the name Cassiopeia was only a second choice to my mother, mother never told me why she add Laurel into my name.

Illyria sighed, after eating she was the dishes, and immediately went to sleep.

Morning 5:30

Illyria woke up, blood everywhere, blood on the floor, ceiling and walls. Illyria can't tell if she's still in her nightmares, all she saw is a lady sitting in her desk-the lady looks like she's waiting for Illyria. Fuck. Illyria thought.

She is breathing rapidly, she doesn't know what to do. She was covered in blood,

Knock knock

Illyria snapped back to reality, her heart is pumping rapidly, her breathing went back to normal and her heartbeat is steady again.

"Who's there?" Illyria shouted

"A message for you." A witch informed

Illyria got up and she realize everything went back to normal, she opened the door and take the scroll quickly.

To: Illyria Laurel Navemena

Dear Illyria, we have a tragic news for you. Unfortunately your parents passed away this morning, we don't know the exact time of their death. When the maids enter your father study she found your father lying in the floor-he was covered in blood, as for your mother she was found in her bed, she was also covered in blood. Investigators thinks its suicide because their fingerprints are on the knives.

Please come to the Navemena Mansion

and help with the investigation, the Wizardry police will have an interrogation with you.

Illyria went to her mansion leaving everything, (she used a portal)

"Where are they?!" Illyria asked "David?! Where's mother?" Illyria yelled.

"They haven't move places yet, Wizardry police is still investigating." David replied truthfully

Illyria nods, she was in shock. Why... Would they do such a thing?

Illyria went to her mother, when she saw her mother's body, she doesn't know how to react, her stomach knotted, she can't move, she wants to cry but not a single tear came out, she was paralyzed.

"Mom..." Illyria sighed

"Laurel."

In a blink of an eye.

Illyria got teleported back in Boleyn Training Grounds.

Huh. A tear rolls out of her eyes

"Hey Lily, damn what's with the tears?" Luary was worried

"I was at the Navemena Mansion just a while ago..." Illyria stated with a sad look

"Yeah you were, now why are you crying?" Luary asked.

"My parents died earlier." Illyria sobbed

Is this girl okay? Luary thought

"Illyria... Your parents died 6 months ago." Luary sighed.

"What? No. Huh?" Illyria went crazy.

"You really are tired, go get some rest." Luary advice and walk away

Illyria still can't think,

Did I time travel? Illyria thought

Illyria sighed she was tired, she was stressed so she went to her dorm to get some rest

"Oh Lily, you're back." Ashley smiles

Illyria nods and went straight to her room.

"She's crazy." Another blonde girl said

"She isn't crazy, stop being delusional Marie." Ashley rolled her eyes.

Marie Smith is her sister, they're only 2 years apart, what's interesting is that they have different eye colors, their father is blue eyed, and her mother is brown eyed. Ashley got her father's eyes while Marie eye color is hazel. People think that Marie is adopted because of her eyes.

(Delusional right?)

"Oh yeah? She ran to park ranger Luary and said her parents died earlier-they died 6 months ago." Marie really want to scream but she'll be dead if she did

"Let her be, I think she's still can't move on." Ashley ended the conversation.

Did I time travel? 6 months... It has been six fucking months. I'm still 18 (18 is her witch age, her human age is 8)

They left. Just like that, I'm still a child.

Illyria thought, and drift off to sleep

Morning

I'm still alive.

Illyria sighed she have one more month to waste. She remembered her nightmares its about a girl.

She got abducted, or something.

Illyria get up and do her daily routine, eat, train, read, learn.

TIMESKIP 5:30 pm

Luary took Illyria with her

"Where are we going?" Illyria asked

"I'm going to show you something." Luary smiles

Illyria nods.

The two witches began to walk to the west, they've been walking for 30 minutes. Illyria wasn't familiar with the place, it looks like they went out the training grounds-which is strictly forbidden-they can't go out unless its necessary-it looks like Luary have a permission to bring Illyria to their destination.

"We're here." Luary stopped at a statue.

"What's this?" Illyria held a vine

"We're gonna have to cut the vines off this statue." Luary got started, she use fire to burn the vines

"Luary you're gonna burn the statue!" Illyria yelled

"Don't worry my magic can't spread unless I say so." Luary said.

Illyria sighed in relief and start to remove some vines

After removing all of the vines, Illyria saw a familiar face, she isn't sure if she met her before.

"Who is she?" Illyria asked. Luary smiled at her question and answered

"She's the goddess Cassiopeia, the goddess of life."

Cassiopeia?

"I see, she's pretty."

Luary nods

"I heard she cursed a bloodline for the massacre happened in Stern city. She said that the bloodline she cursed will end." Luary said.

"Until now, I don't know what bloodline she cursed, and I don't know if it ended." Luary sighed

"We should head back" Luary commands

Misty, her haunting face.

1 month later

Illyria and her friends except Amber finally complete their training, she is ready to leave,

"Goodbye Illyria" Ashley cried

Illyria just smiled and pat her back gently. "I'm pretty sure we will see each other next month." Illyria smiled. Ashley nods and smile

Illyria went out to the river for the last time she spotted Luary and ran to her "Luary" she hugged Luary for the last time

"My, you're really going." Luary smirked and stab her in the back.
