Summary

Being in danger was no news for a December Zeke Axel. And having received a death note seemed a child's play for her. But this isn't what she thought it would be. Upon arriving from her class, an explosion welcomed her into her dormitory. Getting involved unintentionally, Lucas Romero, his annoying seatmate, saved her from this attempted murder. More likely to run towards danger, December found herself dying from curiosity as the mysterious red-eyed girl escaped from her grasp. But just as everything is getting bloody dangerous, another problem arises. "Are... you... serious?! What would I need the bodyguards for?!"

Sudden Turn

Being in debt.

That’s not in my vocabulary. Owing favors had NEVER been a part of my entire existence, if ever, it’s the other way around. Always has been.

But Vera Nazarian just slapped her belief hard on my face: To every rule, there is an Exemption.

And I meant Arthur Axel.

Sure, my father is an exemption. He just gave me this ‘Existence’ I’m talking about. Had I not confirmed he’s my flesh and blood, I wouldn’t be an obedient girl with my eyes open, mouth closed, and all ears on his sudden and unbelievable declaration.

“You’ll have your babysitters.”

Really?! Babysitters?! Oh, come on! Do I look like a five-year-old kid who needs a babysitter?! Okay, fine. It’s escorts, not babysitters. I edited his line.

But that’s not the point! Why would I have these escorts?! Bodyguards?!

And take note, there’s an S!

But King Arthur does what he wants and he gets it.

In just a snap of his fingers.

Yeah. My freedom is gone. Just yesterday, I was still dodging bullets, kicking butts, and catching criminals. I was still running towards danger, my comfort zone.

Now I’m caged with these five goons.

But then, there’s this Sudden Turn of events.

“I ran away all my life. For once, I want to stay. Right here. With you.”

“Congratulations. You just made the Cassanova fall for you.”

“Can’t you overlook our rank difference and just look at me?”

“I may not be a knight in shining armor, but I’d still like to come to your rescue.”

“It took me years to get over her... then I met you.”

It was about a time when Amelia Earhart started pounding my heart, quoting: It is the woman who chooses the man who will choose her.

Given that I’m a girl, this quotation very much suits me.

It’s just that...

I’ve never been in love.

Or so I thought.

Ku_Rolet: The novel was good, and I really enjoyed reading it. I love the leads and their bond, but I have one question that confused me. How could Tristan have been dreaming about his mate since he was a child if Omara was already mated to someone else before him? If Kyle had accepted Omara, would Tristan ne...
