Chapter 1:
The Choice
It all started out with a few bottles of booze, but after a couple hours of constant reading, it turned into a dozen,
I gazed endlessly and ranted in utter rage as I read through the unending multitude of hate comments,
I had been reading them for about two hours, and as of where i got feed up, it had totaled exactly five thousand two hundred and one comments.
I wrote that novel for about a year and a half now in hopes of it becoming a hit,
But now the exact opposite of my expectations were steering right back at me,
A total of one million reads, ten collections and a ton of vicious comments,
The only person who usually gave positive feedbacks on my work suddenly turned on me, his last comment really left me speechless, he said something about my work being JUST a cliché.
I was wholly emotional that evening; it must have been the effect of the alcohol, but either way i didn't care, i just wanted some shut eyes,
I stood up after cleaning my teary eyes, and with my clouded vision and torpid limbs i tottered to my futon,
Just about blacking out i felt a strange sensation from my legs,
i knew for a fact i was headed somewhere, but i couldn't see a thing,
when a bit of my blurred vision cleared out, i could see a rope in my right hand as i kept wobbling in a straight direction,
i couldn't tell where i was going and i couldn't restrain myself either,
the next thing i knew, i was in my tiny living room setting up a stool,
"what's... happening" I said trying to get a hold of myself.
With the aid of the stool, i could see myself hanging the rope round the ceiling fan,
This was getting a lot scary but i could only watch,
As of the moment, I had no idea what i was doing; i couldn't even tell if it was solely the alcohol at work or just my true intensions playing out,
Either way before i could realize it, i was dangling in midair as i struggled instinctively to get rid of the rope, i tried and tried but to no avail,
I was just too drunk or rather too feeble to escape on my own,
In less than a minute, i stopped struggling, i then steered at the door in airy hopes of someone barging in and saving me,
But who was i kidding; those neighbors were all stiff minded snubs who paid the least attention to their surrounding,
Any of them barging in here would be literally impossible, and in reality, who in there right senses would just barge into someone's apartment in the middle of the night.
This was the end and it was a fucking embarrassing way to die too, my laptop was wide open and i was still logged into my webnovel account,
I mean what will they neighbors say, i bet it would appear on the news and probably a ton of talk shows that some psychotic dude killed himself after reading a crazy amount of hate comments on his novel,
Come to think of it, comments sections could end up illegal if that happens, that would be somewhat great news to people like me, i guess.
This was so annoying since I had no one to blame for my current predicament,
No, there was, it was entirely that fucking Author's fault, I asked him for his opinion on novel,
And he gave me a cliche sort of protagonist and also shit talked my original idea,
I took his advice and i gave the protagonist every god damn thing I could ever wish for, i even made him overpowered just to please reader, but were they pleased, NO,
if only i had written him the way i wanted to, maybe things wouldn't have gotten this dire.
I wrote that novel, because it was the trending genre, and i just wanted get my hands on a number of fans, in the end i didn't get a single fans; instead i amassed a wealth of haters.
Such well written protagonist but a worthless creator,
i was just a jobless twenty five year old, who owed the government an outrageous amount of money,
i guess its a pathetic life to even imagine but that was the truth,
Well i guess this world wasn't fitting for an orphan like me, even in school i was just a loner who didn't catch anyone's interest, and I always felt, different.
might as well go have some rest wherever dead people end up.

"Waaaaah!" I yelled waking up.
I was in a forest landscape lying amidst grasses, surrounded by a multitude of overgrown trees whose branches hugged most of the sunlight,
The whole place was utterly quiet and peaceful, you could even hear birds singing from a mile away.
"Where the heck am I?" I asked glancing about.
...
"Didn't I..... Die, wait a minute, is this the afterlife" I inspected the surrounding incredulously.
I was just about to spring up in joy, but then I got sight of my hands and things turned weird.
"Huh... Why are my hands so small, or perhaps did I... Reincarnate?"
I was in an unimaginable incredulous state, but still, that mild smile never left my face.
Weather it be incarnation or just the afterlife, I was just glad I got out of that hell.
In that instant, I felt a sudden sharp ache spike up in my head.
"ummm!" I muffled it in.
It was right then I discovered how bad the condition of my body was.
I must have been beaten by a pulp to get such injuries, but by who,
I stood up and instantly a floating blue screen appeared,
"what.... Is this?"
The words [CALL STATUS TO ACCESS USER INFORMATION] were written boldly.
"Huh! ... Status!" I screamed in excitement.
I had read too many fantasy novels that I was a bit too familiar with this sorta of cliches,
But those joyful and happy expections all turned into melancholic thoughts the moment I caught sight of it.

Shining with blue light it brought more confusion than relief,
"I think I know where I am" I said in a shaky voice.
