A Poem For My Mum
You were there when I took my first steps, Guiding me through my school subjects.
§ You pushed and prodded, encouraged and guided,
Until I walked out the door,
Wondering "Could I've done more?"
You worry now "Is she okay?"
Knowing that you wished I stayed.
With your special love you showed me a way To believe in myself each and every day.
In spirit you shall never be alone.
For where you are is what matters most to me, Because to me that will always be home.
