Prologue: Certified Pick Me Girl
“pick me” girl is no rare in a gen-z packed university. While little to none of the straight boys are aware of it, surely the girls and the gays can spot one when they see one. It’s easy, for real tho. Usually they come with a pretty face and a chill vibe that you can easily distinguish from any other vibes. Pick me girls claim that they get along with men way better than women. They believe they resemble a chameleon as they can subconsciously blend in with the boys around them. These girls tend to loath any other girl for liking anything that is mainstream or traditionally feminine.
Catherine Delgado is a pick me girl
“Even her name sounds pick me”, Analice murmurs toward Sophie who slowly nods her head in return.
From afar, they can see Catherine casually talking with one of the members of the basketball varsity team. They exchange swift pleasantry before the boy bids his goodbye for their training earning a relatable eye-roll from most of the girls inside the gym.
Catherine Delgado is part of the cheerleading team
She auditioned during her freshman year and got accepted after the first screening. No doubt, all the boys in the cheer team liked her the moment she appeared in the gym even the lack of talent is evident. Rumors has it that maybe she used her “girlfriend” privilege since the well-known basketball varsity team captain was her boyfriend back then. No amount of vindication can justify the girls happiness the moment they learned that the power couple called it quits after six months of dating.
Catherine Delgado is currently single
After her controversial break up with the captain boy, she never ever felt like going into relationship again. Her experience with Kyver maybe a factor but big part of it is brought by the stress she has to embrace in her three years in college. She’s admittedly not that good in the academic department. While it took her 3 days to completely memorize a whole choreography, an estimate of 3 weeks will take her to fully understand a single topic. Geology sucks!

Growing up, Catherine spent her childhood playing with boys. The formula is quite simple, brothers Vincente, Victor, Vinicio, Vinson, and Vincent married Beatrice, Aurora, Dianna Marie, Xing Li, and Catherine, respectively. Uncle Vicente and aunt Beatrice have three sons - Dylan, Royce, Xander. Uncle Victor and aunt Aurora have two - Gregorio and Antonio. Uncle Vinicio and aunt Diana Marie have four - Vale Kean, Vonn Keer, Vaden Kole, and Vlad Krim. Uncle Vinson and aunt Xing Li have two - Qiang Tao and Haoyu... and for the finale is where Catherine belongs. Daddy Vincent and Mama Catherine who happen to name their kids Vincent and Catherine as well. Everyone was thrilled to know that finally, a girl was born in the family. Baby Catherine just broke the “All Boys” records for three consecutive generations.
Being surrounded by 12 boys all her life, Catherine learned the basics the other way but luckily went on track later on. She was five when she started peeing the girls way (she stood like a fine man when she pees before that). She was eight when she felt the proudest of being a girl since girls don’t require to be circumcised (she got nervous day by day knowing that her turn is almost coming soon. Luckily Vonn Keer revealed that she doesn’t have the appropriate organ for the circumcision). She was thirteen when she slightly hated being a girl and wished she wasn’t born anymore (adolescence surprised her with a red stain on her favorite white dress). She was eighteen when she had her first boyfriend (and lasted for six months because apparently Kyver learned that she’s a pick me). And now... she’s 21 and she’s struggling with math (since she was five tho).
She loves playing video games with Royce and Haoyu. It was Dylan who taught her the controls and she beat him on their sixth game. She often hangs out with Gregorio (she calls him Gorio) and Vale (calls him Kean) because these eldest sons are her study buddies. They’re a little behind Qiang Tao in terms of IQ but these two prove that hardwork beats talent. Catherine on the other hand enjoys their study sessions mainly because of free food the two always pay. Xander is her arch nemesis. They box when they were ten and for the love of God, Catherine won with the help of Antonio who also appeared to be Xander’s mortal enemy too. And just like any other main character of a story, Catherine has a bestfriend too. Vonn Keer has everything that a certain Catherine Delgado needs in order to understand the life of a woman. It helps better that the lovely cousin is gay.
At school, Catherine finds it hard to befriend with the girls. She managed to cling around Analice and Sophie but she knows they are talking about her behind her back which makes her more uncomfortable around girls. She hates it when her classmates put on some make up because it triggers her throat when she inhales a bit of powder. At the end of the day, she always end up clinging with her cousins and her cousins’ circle which are also bunch of boys.
Almost everyone in the neighborhood knows the “All Boys” branding of their family. Even outsiders were surprised to know that a girl has finally made it to the fallopian tube.
However, the confusing part is... these boys are all Alvarez.
