Hollybush Police Department

Its 6.30am in the morning. The birds of Hollybush County are chirping beautiful tones of sing- song outside my windows. I turn over, rustling the velvet sheets as i do so. Half asleep and a quench of thirst swinging my legs around to the edge of my kingsized bed. I grab my glass of juice i premade from last night. I gently swig from the glass as i smell and taste the sweetness of the mango juice soothing my dry throat. I slowly stumble to the window , i run my fingers through the chords of the jet black blind coverings. I gently tug down, the blinds shoot straight up. I swing open the double glazed windows as if i was a batsman for the local Hollybush baseball team. The aroma of fresh cut grass and flowers blooming. I enhale and take a deep breathe as if i were under water. A smile and a sense of positivity shines upon me. All of a sudden i hear my name being called from the stairs below.

"Christopher!", "babe! Breakfast is ready!

Thats the sound of my future wife eve. We got engaged a few weeks back. I made it so romantic for the both of us, i decided one night to propose to her on a sandy golden beach with candles lit up in a shape of a heart with a bucket of champagne in ice. She loved the ring which was a stunning ruby red with a load of expensive gems on the outside. The sparkle in the ring met with the twinkle in eves eyes. We have been in love since high school we were even named the best couple at the prom by all of our classmates.

"I am coming baby"

I replied in a gentle sensual tone. Making my way down the spiral marble stairs my nose met with an all too familiar smell, my tastebuds tingling.

"Morning babe something smells yummy"

A grin and a sudden burst of laughter comes from her mouth.

"Yes babe! I have made you a full english breakfast. Eggs, sausage, beans, tomatoes with some hashbrowns and black pudding".

"Ohhh eve baby, did i ever mention that you were the best future wife to ever grace the planet earth"?.

She winks at me and gently brings my full english breakfast to me in a tray. Eves kind of OCD so she likes everything to be prepped and spotless clean. I look at her, admiring the curves of her body, her bright blonde thick and wavy hair and blue eyes. That walk she does kind of in a sassy way and full of confidence. She gently places the food on our breakfast bar we recently had installed.

"Thanks baby! I love you"

She replies with a menacing and saucy tone.

"I love you to my Christopher"

We exchanged a soft kiss and a vice tight hug before i endulge in my breakfast. At that moment i hear a thud of racing steps coming from upstairs which sounded like a hurd of elephants.

"The twinnies are up by the sound of things". Eve said.

"Yes they are and right on schedule, its 7.00am".

Our twins are both 8 years of age and full of menace and torment. There names are matilda and annie and even though they can be a handfull at times they are mine and eves world. They both crash onto our stools making an impactful screetch.

" i win, i win your a loser"matilda said.

"One day ill beat you to the breakfast table"replied annie.

"Hey! Now girls take it easy not everything has to be a competition, your both sisters you should try being nice to eachother for a change okay?" Eve yelled in a stern voice. Eve places both bowls of cereal onto the breakfast table without second thought, both of our girls start drowning themselves into the chocolate square and milk mixture. Meanwhile i try to scoff the last sausage down my throat whilst on a bloated stomach. I finally manage it and slouch on the barstool as if i was a stuffed build a bear.

"That was delicious babe" i said glancing over to eve as she drinks her coffee latte on the opposite side of the room.

"Thanks my baby christopher" she said.

"Are you not eating this morning eve?or have you already eaten?".

"No babe ill catch some brunch later on after i take the children to school and get a break at work". Eves a manager at a resturant in Hollybush county. Nicknamed The plaza sushi. Eve has worked her backside off for aslong as i can remember.

"Okay eve make sure you do or there will be consequences!". I yelled in a sarcastic way.

I am currenly unemployed due to budget cuts at my old lawyer firm. I am chaseing the dream of being the best police officer in Hollybush county. I applied about a week ago but havent recieved any type of emails or phonecalls.

"What are you going to do about it arrest me?.

At that very moment my phone buzzes aloud like a bumblebee swirling round like a whirlpool on the breakfast table. I grab it and walk out through the backyard.

"Hello?"a soft voice of a women called out.

"Yes ma'am?". I replied in a formal way.

"Yeah?, hello my name is cheryl from the Hollybush County Police department is this Christopher on the phone?".

"Yes ma'am speaking how may i help you?".

"Great stuff" she replied . "We have seen your application and we would be delighted to have you come down and have an interview?" .

My body froze to the core, i could not believe what i was hearing. I mean yeah its the interview stage but i just have to take baby steps. One step at a time.

"It would be an honour to have an interview with yourselves thank you so much!" I yelled with exitment.

" okay, Christopher your interview starts this afternoon, no problem?".

"No ma'am thats perfect thank you!".

"Okay then sir you have a good day now bye".she chuckled. The phone bleeps to halt the phonecall. The raw emotion going through my body, the exitement and disbelief all at once. I open the backyard door and walk into the kitchen where i see eve, matilda and annie make there way down the hallway to exit for the front door.

"Eve!". I shouted with exitment. I ran up to eve kissing her and cuddling her and cradle the children in my arms.

"I have the job interview this afternoon for the Hollybush Police Department!".

"Yay!" Yelled out the twins.

"Congratulations and goodluck babe"eve replied.

" thanks eve love you, and i love you both too". I looked towards eve and the children with a bright white smile. I watched them leave for the day and now i have to get ready for my upcoming interview. I quickly run up the spiral marble stairs, slipping and sliding as if i was bambi on ice. I run into our bedroom and bust open the walk in wardrobe with all of my favourite shirts suits and shoes. I throw on my best shirt, suit and shoes and gaze at my reflection through our bedroom mirror.

" you got this man!, you were a lawyer in one of the best lawyer firms in the county and great at your job!". I said to myself in a motivational way. At that i grabbed my cv with my employment and educational history and headed down the stairs and out the front door. I lock the door and it makes a click. I tap the garage button as the garage doors slowly shudder up im greeted by my pride and joy. My luxurious matte black bentley veichle. I unlock the door via a sensor button attached to my car keys, it makes a bleep twice, i gently open up the door being greeted by the red leather interior. I turn on the engine by the press and go button on the dashboard. The engine roars like a lion, i slowly drive out of my garage and within seconds of me leaving, the garage doors automatically slide down.

"Cmon baby lets do this"!. I yelled.

I drove off my driveway and made my way to the Hollybush Police Department. Upon arrival at the station i opened up my window, there was a parking lot it had my very own parking space with my name Christopher saying reserved right next to it. I slowly drove into my parking space with the engine rumbling before i come to a stop.

"This is it then my moment, my familys moment, this is our moment into the Hollybush Police Department.
