The ONLY reason I’m actually taking the time to write this journal (it’s not a diary), is because my English professor, Professor George Wordsworth, is making the entire class do it as part of our class’ assessment. I don’t understand why we still have to take English classes while attending a magic academy like Qimengdian. Or even arithmetic for that matter. I mean we’re at a magical academy! There’s no use teaching us those two subjects here. We were already taught English and Arithmetic while in primary school. I don’t think any other magic school or academy makes taking English and Arithmetic mandatory.But since I have to, I have to. There’s no use complaining about it. It’s not like the academy is going to change its decades old curriculum based on the complaints of one student.
I just hope that reading out of entries I’ve written wouldn’t be part of the assessment as well. I really do.
