amicable end

An old flame extinguished, hearts cast to the wind

In separation, a bitter touch when two souls rescind

A home once shared, now calculated in parts

To be fairly divided, like fragments of broken hearts

The house they built, now a hollow shell

Empty rooms, where memories used to dwell

A lengthened love, reduced to a meaningless void

In this aftermath, whatever’s left was quickly destroyed
