Chapter 1

So, there I was, standing in my bathroom in my pajamas, staring at a penguin in my bathtub. I couldn't believe it. I mean, how did it even get there? Did it wander into my house in the middle of the night? Did someone break in and leave it there as a prank?

I was so confused, but I knew I had to act fast. I couldn't just leave a penguin in my bathtub all day. That's just not practical. So I did what any normal person would do - I took a selfie with the penguin and posted it on Instagram.

And that's when things got really weird. Within minutes, my phone started blowing up with notifications. People were commenting on my photo, asking me where I got the penguin and how they could get one too. Some people even offered to buy the penguin off of me.

I was completely overwhelmed. I mean, I was just trying to document the strange situation I found myself in, not start a black market for exotic animals.

But then, just as I was about to delete the photo and forget the whole thing, there was a knock at my door. I opened it to find a man standing there, wearing a black suit and sunglasses.

'Are you the person who posted the photo of the penguin on Instagram?' he asked, his voice low and serious.

'Um, yes?' I replied, feeling suddenly nervous.

The man stepped forward and handed me a business card. 'I represent a certain... organization,' he said, his eyes flickering over my shoulder to the bathroom.

'An organization?' I repeated, feeling even more confused.

'Yes,' the man said. 'We're interested in acquiring the penguin. And we're willing to pay top dollar for it.'

I didn't know what to say. I mean, I had never even considered selling the penguin. But then again, I had no idea what to do with it either. It's not like I had a spare fish tank lying around.

So I did what any normal person would do - I agreed to sell the penguin to the mysterious organization. And that's when things got really, really weird...

Cora: Decent story. Slightly predictable turn of events but I didn't think at this point it was a possible twist! I enjoy the stream of thought writing style this has, though some proofreading and punctuation could help a few spots. Recommend this for ebooks and forgive a few confusing errors. Enjoyable t...

Angela: A good story so far. I like Amora's character and the ideas such as, Aiden taken power over the pack and stripping Amora of her title. The drama around how Aiden tortured Amora carving his name into her skin was dramatic which I liked. Gave the story some substance. When Aiden captures Amora and beg...
