Chapter 1
I wake up and glanced at my phone to see someone texted me: 'Meet me at our secret spot.' I already know who it was, Ruby. We had found a secret spot at the public park. I get up out of bed and get dressed. I don't forget my pin and the necklace Ruby gave me. It was a perfect match with my pin. I grabbed my small backpack (not school backpack) and headed downstairs. To my surprise, my mom was there talking to Ruby. weren't we supposed to meet up? I was a little confused now. "Good morning honey. I just met your lovely friend Ruby! You two seem like great friends." my mom said cheerfully, and Ruby just smiled at me as I finished coming downstairs.
"You ready Rose?" Ruby asked, grabbing her bag. "Where are you two going?" my mother asked suspiciously. "Nowhere special mom. Just going out to have some fun." I answered quickly. my mom nodded. "You girls have fun!" we walked out the front door to Ruby's car. I got in after Ruby and we drove off to our special spot. "Your mom seems nice." Ruby said and I smiled and nodded. "Yea she is. I'm really excited for today." We pulled up in a parking spot and walked over to a shady tree with a patch of flowers.
I sigh, "This spot is just perfect." I look at Ruby who is gazing at the sky at the setting sun. Leaves start to fall from the tree and Ruby puts her hand on my cheek. She kisses me on the lips. I blush and look away. I turn back to Ruby and lay my head on her shoulder. "Hey Rose? Would you maybe...um...want to be my...Girlfriend?" Ruby asks. I smile and reply, wrapping my arms around her. "Yes! Ofc I will!" She hugs me and kisses my lips. "Thank you Rose! I love you!" I can see tears of happiness running down her cheeks.
