Chapter 1
Ly sat up in bed, waking groggily to the smell of toast. They stand up, but on their binder, and get dressed, wearing white ripped-Jean shorts, a black singlet, and purple Jock Jumper. Grabbing a pair of socks, they ran downstairs and grabbed one if the pieces of toast that gad just popped, as well as their lunch money. Putting on grey high-tops, they pull the toast out of their mouth to call out “See you later!” Before heading out the door.
They finish their stolen piece of toast just as a dark skinned, black haired boy came over wearing a black and white jock jumper, white shirt, and black long pants. “Hey Jack!” Ly smiles at the boy. “Hey Ly, how was your weekend?” Jack returned the smile. “Busy working on over-due stuff, what about you?” He shrugged at the smaller person “Same.” They both sighed, thinking of what they hadn’t finished.
Yes, Ly was on the demi boy side of pronouns, but was 100% a guy to all of their friends in Hurricane, Uta. Ly was deep in thought when they heard the sound of a tiny, female, British accent. Looking over to their left, they saw Elizabeth scolding her older brother, her younger brother Chris trailing behind. Finally, the trio got close enough for Ly to make out what Elizabeth’s scolding was about. “Just because you didn’t think he was coming doesn’t mean you can leave him behind!!!” Michael looked down at his sister “Yea, kind of forgot that I had to wait for someone who wasn’t even coming.” “But he was!!!” Ly slightly giggles at this, making Michael look up. “It’s not funny!!!” Ly begins to laugh harder, Jack looking from the laughing non-binary to the embarrassed male.
The five boarded the bus, the three eldest sitting together up the back. “Elizabeth, despite me giving her the real answer, asked me to ask you something. Just saying, I said no.” Ly and Jack looked to Michael “What did she ask?” They both questioned, Ly glancing at the red-head ahead of them. “Elizabeth wants to know if you two are together.” Jack and Ly turned to each other, looked at Michael, then to Elizabeth. “Uhm, no, Elizabeth.. Me and Jack are too much like siblings to date.” Elizabeth frowned, shrugged, and turned to Chris.
