Chapter 1
Sarah had always been a bit of a late bloomer. She didn't have her first kiss until she was 16, and didn't start dating until she was 18. But even as her friends started having sex and talking about it openly, Sarah still felt like she wasn't ready. She didn't want to rush into something just because everyone else was doing it.
When she started dating her current boyfriend, Alex, she thought maybe things would be different. Alex was sweet and respectful, and never pressured her to do anything she wasn't comfortable with. But even as they got closer and started spending more time together, Sarah couldn't shake the feeling that she was holding back.
One night, after a few drinks, Alex started making out with her on the couch. Sarah was caught off guard, but didn't want to seem prudish or uninterested. She let things escalate, but when Alex started trying to take off her clothes, she froze. She didn't want to have sex, but she didn't know how to say no.
After that night, things between Sarah and Alex were strained. She felt like she had let him down, and he seemed distant and frustrated. Sarah's friends started asking her if she was still a virgin, and she felt embarrassed and ashamed.
It wasn't until Sarah talked to her older sister, who was also a virgin, that she started to feel better. Her sister told her that there was nothing wrong with waiting until she was ready, and that being a virgin was nothing to be ashamed of. She reminded Sarah that everyone moves at their own pace, and that it was important to do what was right for her, not what other people expected of her.
With her sister's encouragement, Sarah started to feel more confident in her decision to wait. She talked to Alex and told him that she wasn't ready to have sex yet, and he was understanding and supportive. Sarah's friends still teased her about being a virgin, but she didn't let it bother her anymore. She knew that she was doing what was right for her, and that was all that mattered.
