Shanique POV

"Hi Shanique its time to get up." my bestfriend Talia babbled as if she was Alexa or Siri.

" Five more minutes please." I pleaded

" Nope." She said firmly popping the p.

" Holy crap today's that interview!" I shrieked

" Uh uh, five more minutes please." She mocked.

I threw of the covers and strolled to the bathroom to complete my morning routine.

I went to my closet and took put a matching pink suit with a pink blazer, pink pencil skirt, a white V-neck strapless blouse and a pair of glass shoes.

I went downstairs where I was greeted by the aroma of hot cocoa and buttermilk waffles and a hot best friend twirling and singing like a ballet dancer.

"Merde tu es si chaud bébé. " she said seductively

"Merci bébé." I replied.

Translation: Damn you are so hot baby.

Translation: Thank you baby.

We sat at the table and ate breakfast.

Talia and I have been best friends since childhood because it was the same for our moms. We literally shared everything , and we are now sharing an apartment which is why I am going for this job interview today , hopefully I can get an apartment of my own .

Even though Talia keeps assuring me that I am not a burden to her in any way , yet I still want to give her , her space since her boyfriend Zane is around quite often and I don't want to be the one who breaks that awesome chemistry between them.

We finished eating and headed to the garage and drove out vibing to 'Hot shit 'by Cardi B and Kanye West.

After a few minutes of driving , there it was the beautiful four storey building with its glass balcony and doors on the fourth floor which I assumed gave a beautiful view of Atlanta.

"Good luck ." Talia said before I exited.

" thank you bestie . " I replied with a smile.

You've got this . I uttered to my self before making my way to the entrance . Damn this place was full of exquisite cars ; Range Rovers, Porches , Rav 4's , Mercedes Benz and the latest Tesla X which I assumed was the CEO's.

At the reception desk I was greeted by a charming lady with a very bright smile in a bodycon dress which hugged her body smoothly.

"Good morning." she said never removing her smile.

"Hi good morning, I am here for an interview with Mr Rodriguez." I replied with a smile.

Her nametag said Marissa. She quickly searched and responded;

"Oh I see here Shanique Palmer ; that's you correct?" She asked

"Yes, that's me."

"Ok miss Palmer. Follow the path and make and left where you will see an elevator wherein you will enter the 4th floor." She said.

"Thank you , miss Marissa " I replied.

I made my way to the elevator with a very puzzled mind.

The elevator dinged at the fourth floor and I made my way towards the tinted glass doors.

"Oh fuck right there. right there." I heard a female voice moaning.

"Yes ugh daddy's slut." A male voice groaned.

I rang the buzzer and heard quick shuffling then the door burst open by a red head with an evil smirk.

"Enter." The male voice boomed.

He was buttoning his shirt and damn he was like a greek God with thise juicy abs and eight pack. My stomach did a twirl and my core jumped wildly .

" Are you done checking me out?" He spoke snapping me out of my thoughts.

" Gg-good morning sir." I stuttered.

" Good morning Shanique, correct?" He gazed at me. The way he said my name was so satisfying.

"Yyess sir ."

"Enough of the sir stuff my name is Juan." He said with a smirk.

"Ok Juan."

So Shanique tell me about yourself.

Okay well I can be quite a friendly and kind person.

"Any qualifications? " he asked

Well umm you could say that i am bilingual because I have a major in Spanish and a minor in French. I am also seeking a business degree but cannot afford college fees at the moment which is why I am currently job hunting.

Clash ! His water bottle shattered on the ground into minute pieces.

"Damn it!" He growled.

I bent to pick up the shattered glass and I could see him staring at me hungrily.

Ok there we go. I said getting up but instead my head collided with rock hard abs.

"Shanique you have showed me qualities of a good leader that I have always dreamt about." He said

" consider yourself hired." He added

" Wait what !,I squealed in Glee Thank you so much, omg this is so amazing.!"

"Okay, okay! okay . Ahh deep breaths i said to myself."

"What time do I start?" I asked

"Tomorrow at exactly 9am sharp and get me a cup of cappuccino warm is just how I like it." He replied

" Ok go home and and prep yourself for a early day of Work tomorrow." He added.

I walked out the office and took the elevator to the entrance.

"Mmmm someone's in a good mood I was interrupted by Marissa."

"Hmm hi yes I got the job! "I squealed in delight.

"Okay Congratulations I guess I'll be seeing you tomorrow then Bye." She said.

"Okay lets go home." I sighed and hailed a cab.

I rang the door bell and was greeted by a smiling and whooping Talia.

"So..., did you get the job?" She asked curiously.

"Unfortunately no." I lied

"What let me go and kill that mother fucker right now! How dare he.!" She yelled in frustration.

"Chill girl." I'm just kidding." I chuckled.

"Now that's what I'm talking about." she said raising back that smile.

"Bitch lets go celebrate omg we gonna party till the day breaks..."Whoo bitches here comes us !" She screamed and did a twirl.

"Too bad I have to start at nine tomorrow." I said.

"Come on we'll be back in time." She pleaded.

"Fine but no more than 3 drinks then home."

"Whatever now lets get dressed whoop!Whoop!." She yelled.

I took out a black mini bodycon dress with an open back and a leather jacket in case of cold. And a pair of red bottoms to go with it.

Talia was wearing a red bodycon dress with a pair of glass shoes. Damn she was fine if she didn't bring Zane she would be in trouble with the guys later on.

"Are we ready?" I asked while applying some lip gloss.

"Sure am ." She replied.

Zane was already waiting in his 2020 rav 4 at the front.

The drive to the club was somewhat quick which I was thankful for. When we stepped outside it was a very good thing I wore a leather jacket because the night breeze was still causing me to shiver.

We went inside and was greeted by a wild crowd dancing and cruising without a care.

Wild drunk men who were taking shots and dancing with drunk women.

This all gave a hazy feeling.

Talia screamed,"Let's take it up a notch whoo!"

"My bitch just landed herself assistant" at a large company. Yep that's her .! She squealed again and ordered two shots ginn .

Ahh the burned feeling soothed my chest as we downed about three more shots. This time it tasted like whiskey.
