I've had a life plan for as long as I can remember. A perfectly constructed roadmap of what’s expected of me as an heiress to the Thomas fortune. And I've dutifully followed that plan every day for the last twenty-two years of my life so when the dreaded gossip app on my phone informs me and the world of my darling boyfriends cheating scandal, with my best friend no less, it cuts deeper than I ever could've imagined that my parents want a quick reunion and for this all to be brushed underneath the carpet. It's something I can't do so I make a decision for myself. The very first one of my life and it includes completely derailing the life plan so that I have the chance to find myself. I'm hanging up my red bottoms and trading them for overalls and tractors. I'm going back to the one place I've always felt free. Even if it means coming face to face with my childhood best friend and all the promises we'd broken to each other. Walker blames me entirely when he's the one that walked away. I hate the way he looks at me now, the distance that should have never come between us, but then he smiles, a rare one just for me and it's like sunshine and heaven and I know longer care whose at fault. Walker Bradford and I have unfinished business. Letting him go is the biggest mistake I ever made and I won’t make that mistake again
