pilot episode

One day in the afternoon, Adela, a young aspiring novel author decides that she would like to take a walk at the waterfront sidewalk in the city near her home. It only takes 4 minutes to drive from her house. That afternoon there was rain pouring quite heavily, but Adela merely doesn’t care much about that because she think that it was the perfect weather and atmosphere for her to discover fresh ideas for her latest work novel.

Four minutes later, she drives her car to the city. She reaches the waterfront parking lots located near the city bridge. At that time the rainfall drizzles, not a quite heavy pour like a few minutes ago. It’s perfect for starting the walk, she thought while getting out of the car and opening the transparent umbrella so that she won’t get wet when she is outside. Later she locks the car and puts on her headphones, she then plays the song from 4*town ‘True Love’ before starting her stroll.

🎶Music🎶

Heavy rain from my cloudy eyes

Every time you say

That isn’t why I used to call you, babe

But you’re the light of my life

I drove by your house 29 times today

And nobody else could make me feel this way

Nobody else

Nobody else, nobody

’Cause you have opened my eyes and stolen my heart

You make me believe that love can be hard

And I can never survive a minute apart

You are my one true love, my one true love

My heaven above, my one true love

Heavy rain on a Saturday

When you said my name in the saddest way

Nothing numbs the pain

You’re still the light of my life

While she is walking and appreciating the view, she doesn’t forget to write down notes for any idea that pops up in her mind. She writes all the ideas on her memo app on her phone.

After 36 minutes of walking, Adela arrives at the rest stop located between the waterfront and the national city garden. There are a few cafes and convenience stores. She stops by the bench facing the cafe and convenience store. She takes a picture because she thinks the scenery of the stores is quite ecstatic. The vibes she gets from them are amazing. It feels like she was inside a romance novel. The light illuminating the cafe inside, a warm soft yellow brightens the room, and the structure of the store looks just like that came from a Harry Potter movie.

After she completes gathering all that she needed for ideas, she then turns around and walks back to where she came from. On the way back, she notices the wind becoming windier and the rain starts pouring more heavily than before.

Unexpectedly she sees someone she knew walking the opposite way a few meters away from she is. She stares at that person, trying to see more clearly in the heavy rain who that person is. But before she can think of anyone’s name a bright light flashes out of nowhere. It makes Adela turn her head to her right side, searching where it came from... then without warning a loud clap of thunder breaks the silence. This causes everyone there to be shocked; even the alarm for the car parked on the side road goes off.

Adela flinches a little at the thunderclap before turning back to look in front of her. For a moment, she forgets what she was thinking of, and when she ses the man who walked past her just then, she remembers what she was thinking of. At that moment, she also knows who that person is. It is her crush from her volunteer work from before. Isq is the team leader and supervisor at a volunteer job at the health centre. It’s been 2 years already since they last saw each other.

But she is disappointed when she tries to call out to him, but she doesn’t dare to say it loudly. Also, when they pass by each other he doesn’t seem to recognise her. She turns around and sees him walk further away without noticing her. With heavy steps, she continues walking upfront.

A few minutes earlier, before the lightning and thunder, Isq saw Adela from far away. Looking at her, without realising it, he smiled, admiring how beautiful the girl in front of him was. With a long black cardigan matched with grey sport pants and also paired with mint-green sneakers, she looked just perfect.

He excitedly waved at her, but he noticed Adela didn’t give any reaction and just looked serious. He then put his hand back down a second before the lightning struck on the water, followed by thunder roaring in the sky.

Looking at how Adela flinches at the sound, he had the urge to go and ask if she was okay and cover Adela’s ears to protect her.

But then again, since she didn’t notice him, he just decided to continue walking, pretending not to see her. He felt really happy when he saw her again after all this time, but again he only felt disappointment. He thought that he just had to walk away without talking to her. So he thought...

Back in the present, Adela walks away with a heavy heart. Suddenly, a strong, really strong, wind blows, causing her umbrella to fly backwards. Adela is so surprised by the sudden strong wind that she accidentally loses her grip on the umbrella.

She turns around and runs, trying to catch her umbrella rolling on the pavement far back. Then Adela sees a man far ahead of the umbrella. She shouts at him, asking for help in catching her umbrella being blown away by the wind. The man turns around and manages to catch it just in time before it falls into the water.

Adela runs toward the man. When she is a few feet away, she stops to catch a breath before she continues walking. When she reaches the man, she stands while holding her hand out asking for the umbrella by saying:

“Tha...thank you sir...!” still catching her breath.

“No worries...” he says while holding his umbrella slightly over Adela so that she won’t get wetter from the rain.

“Mr Isq...?” Adela looks at his face, surprised.

“Hi, Adela,” said Isq, smiling at her.

“Hi...” replies Adela, shyly.

“Btw what’s with Mr.Isq?” he frowned before continuing,” Just Isq is fine you know. I always tell you guy not to call me Mr...”

“Oops... Sorry, but I just can’t help it because I already got used to calling you Mr Isq...” says Adela quietly almost whispering.

“Hmm..,Adela...” he stops and hesitates.

“Yes? What is it you want to talk about?” asks Adela looking at him.

″You..hmm... Do you have free time now?”

“Now? Yes, I am free, why?” asks Adela.

“If you don’t mind, would you like to grab a drink? My treat,” says Isq, hoping that Adela accepts his offer.

“I’d love to!” says Adela cheerfully.

Then both of them walk side-by-side toward the cafe and with Isq holding his umbrella for Adela and himself.

“Adela, btw what was up with the umbrella just now...” he says teasing her while still holding Adela’s umbrella in his other hand.

“Sir.!!” exclaims Adela, embarrassed.

Hmm... feel like it would be better if you start with the scenery then zoom in on the MC in the rain walking. take a few lines of the song, put it in and then say the sound coming from the headphone. Show the MC taking pic and notes, then start the intro of her then move to how she feels. It paints a better picture of the story if you flow like this
