Chapter I

Kyle and I walked to school hand-in-hand, large grins on our faces.

"Noah?" Kyle's soft voice made me smile. I turned to him, squeezing his hand.

"Yes, baby?"

"What day of march did we start dating?"

I turned to him, confused. "March second, why?"

"Nothing."

"Seriously? You asked me a question, so I can ask you one, and you must answer because I answered you."

Kyle pouted. "But I don't want to tell you. I have the right to my own things."

"I have the right to be treated the same as you."

"I have the right to keep my secrets."

"I have the right not to be tortured, which you are doing right now, not telling me your secrets."

"Ok fine, you win."

"I do?"

"I do too," Kyle said, taking my other hand. He gave me a huge kiss on the lips before running towards the school's large doors, laughing.

I stood there, confused, before I giggled and ran after him.

The only classes Kyle and I had together were math and chemistry, which was pretty sad, seeing that Kyle swore we would stick together always.

Right then, it was math. Kyle walked into the class looking flustered, like he'd just ran a hundred mile race. He seemed surprised to see me already there, sitting at the back of the room.

He pulled his hand through his dark brown hair and walked toward me, sitting on the seat beside mine. "Hey babe," he whispered, taking my hand and intertwining our fingers. "How'd you get here so fast?"

"I have the right to keep my secrets, bitch," I muttered back, smirking. In truth, it wasn't much of a secret. All I did was use a shortcut (I study the school map a lot).

Kyle smiled, rubbing his thumb over mine. The teacher sneaked towards us, leaning over the desk. She spotted our hands together and smiled.

"Children," Ms. Casey whispered. "You can be gay later," -she smirked- "after class."

I turned red, prettying sure that Kyle was heating up too. I looked down, feeling embarrassed.

Ms. C walked back to the front of the class, tapping her long red nails on the board to get our attention.

We all turned to her in unison.

"Ladies and gentlemen," -snickers sounded around the room- "We are starting the test tomorrow, and I recommend you study." That resulted in a collective groan from the students up front.

I laid back in my seat, not caring an inch of what the teacher said. All I could think of was the sleepover I was attending at Josh's house. He was bringing his friend Lars who, in my opinion, was a perfect match for him. Kyle was coming though, so I wouldn't be found a third wheel.

"Mr. Tones," Ms. C said, snapping me out of my thoughts. "Would you like to answer the math question, or not?"

"Huh? Oh yeah, sure." That earned some giggles from the girls in the row beside mine.

"If x is 32, and if y times x is 93, then what is y?"

"3"

"Nice job..." Ms. C said hesitantly. She thought I wasn't paying attention just because I was daydreaming? Rude!

Class ended at 09:45 when I had break. I met Josh in the soccer field, sitting on one of the front row bleachers. Kyle walked out of the school a few minutes later, spotting us out and waving happily.

He sat beside me, leaning on my shoulder and holding my hand. "Hey, Noah," he said, "Hi, Josh."

I kissed him on the forehead, laying my head on his. "Hi, baby."

Josh gazed at us, quietly wishing that he could hold this pleasure as well.

We only had 15 minutes for break and we had already spent 2 minutes of it. I decided to make the most of the time we had.

"Josh?" I said with a low voice.

"Yes?" He replied vaguely.

"About the sleepover," I said, scared of the answer. "Who else is going?"

"No one else except you, Kyle, Lars, and me. Why?"

"No reason."

I was bored. Real bored.

I had finished my homework, studied for the test, and cuddled with Kyle, but I was still waiting for Josh to pick us up.

Kyle walked over to me, dressed in one of my large shirts, and flopped on the couch beside me.

"Baby," Kyle sighed softly, "It's ok, Josh is probably just running a little late."

I didn't move.

"Come on, just read a book or something."

I still didn't budge. I kept my hands stuck on my face and continued to sulk.

Kyle put his hand under my chin and lifted my head, giving me a peck on the lips.

I went back to my previous position and closed my eyes.

Kyle dramatically pouted, "Fine, no more kisses."

Before he could finish his lecture on how much he definitely hated me, I grabbed him by his waist and gave him a hug.

He smiled, happy that his plan had worked. He straddled my lap and hugged me back, burying his head in the crook of my neck.

"See?" Kyle said, lifting his head from my neck, "Waiting is not so bad after all."

He kissed my head when the doorbell rung and went to answer it.

Kyle and I sat in the back of Josh's silver-ish car, waiting to arrive at his house. Kyle had fallen asleep on my shoulder, the bumps on the road rocking the car soothingly.

"So, um, Noah," Josh said awkwardly, "How is it, having a boyfriend?"

I shrugged, not really sure how to explain.

"It depends on the type of boy it is, really," I said lightly, tired from the amount of time we spent in the car. A few seconds later, I dozed off with Kyle, dreaming of many things to come.
