Chapter 1

Max

It's been a year; during that year Ro gave birth to my amazing son Nick. He's still so tiny, he's one about to be two. Right now, I'm planning a surprise for Ro. I'm planning on having the packs come together again. I know Ro misses all the girls, hell I miss the guys. Ro is out training, and Nick is asleep.

I'm taking the time to contact the office and Luna's telling them to plan. They all agreed happily, I'm not surprised. "Hey man" Darek said walking into my office. I looked up at him, and motioned for him to wait because I was on the phone. When I hung up the phone, I looked back at him "what's up" I said with a smile. " Who was that" Darek asked "Alpha Philip" I said. He nodded his head understanding why I was on the phone with him. In the middle of our conversation my Uncle Jeremy came in with Nick.

When Nick saw me, he giggled and reached his arms out to me. I grabbed him from my uncle and held him in the air before hugging him. A few minutes later her scent smacked me in the face. When she walked in, she came kiss me and Nick. "I'm going shower" she said. When she went to walk away Nick started to cry and screamed for her. Ro turned around and smiled "my sweet sweet baby boy I will be back I promise" she said and kissed him. When she came back she was in shorts and a tank top. She walked over and grabbed Nick "Hi my love" she said to him.

I miss the girls, Nelly mostly. The kids too, I wonder how they are doing. Sometimes I wish I could just leave and go to them. To top it off a few months ago I came to terms with things. My mind is so empty these days, without my wolf. We would talk for hours and go for runs, but things are different now I'm different.

The next few days were slow quiet even. I make my way to Nick's room to see if he is up. Sure, enough when I open the door I'm met by a very happy baby. Sometimes I can't believe I was blessed with a beautiful baby boy who's about to be two. I pick him up and change his diaper before heading downstairs. When I walked into the living room of the pack house, I heard loud voices coming from the kitchen. I slowly made my way to the voices but stop dead in my tracks when I hear their voices again. I speed walk into the kitchen careful not to drop Nick. "Ro and baby Nick" was all I heard before I got ambushed. When my attackers backed up I calmly walked over to Max and handed him Nick. The moment he was out of my arms me and the girls went into a hugging mess.

Once we had all calmed down the girls and I went for a walk around the territory just talking about random stuff. "How have you been doing without your wolf" Andrea asked. I stopped walking and took a deep breath, "it's been hard, really hard. Not being able to talk to her or hear her. It hurts knowing I'll never have a conversation with her again" I said. We started to walk again, but when I took a step, it felt like something broke inside me and that's when it happened.

That painful sensation of my bones breaking and remolding into something else. I heard Luna Regian scream at someone to get Max. I screamed out in pain as I felt a hand on my shoulder. A few seconds later the pain was gone. I opened my eyes; I don't know when I closed them, but I did. I held my head low as I was lost in thought then Andrea's voice snapped me out of it. "Luna Queen Rory" she said/asked. I looked at her and watched as a small smile spread across her face. "You just shifted" she said squealing. I looked down at my feet only to see paws in their place same with my hands.

I heard Max yelling my name, I turned to face him. He smiled and got to my level, now that I was laying down. He was smiling from ear "you look the same" Max said and shifted, because both he and his wolf examined me, then laid next to me in acceptance. The Alphas came with Max, when they saw everything was okay, they pulled the girls back to the pack house. I was excited to know my wolf still looked the same. Bright red with Hues of black due to me shifting out of young age.

After an hour or so of just sunbathing in wolf form. I mind linked Jeremy to put some clothes in the tree line for us. When we walked in the pack house everyone went nuts. I called for Michel to come meet us in the living room. "What's wrong Alpha, Luna" he asked. "Ro shifted" I said, and he looked confused "I'm sorry Alpha but that's impossible" Michel said. Andrea walked closer "I watched her shift, it really happened" she said. Michel looked between the two of us before he spoke "show me" was all he said. We walked to the backyard and Ro went to the tree line to shift. When she came out Michel dropped to the ground. "How, this shouldn't be possible he said in shock still looking at Ro. I found her over then said, "but it's happening now, can you figure out why". He nodded and began examining her wolf, when he said he was done Ro went shift back and we headed to the pack hospital.
