Chapter 1
Silver is working in the local coffee shop, almost at the end of his shift, when his boss comes in. He flinches, hating the smell of smoke every time he comes in. “Great work Silver,” he says. He thanks him, and Silver is ready to head out when a girl comes in, looking very weak and tired. She’s quite young, probably just reached adulthood. She has dark straight hair with bangs dangling over her head, and her hair flows down into one same length. She’s also quite pale, who also has light green eyes, strong and piercing.
The girl looks really worn out. Silver feels sorry for the girl and wants to make her more happy. He decides to make her a peppermint mocha to make her a little more awake for college exams. When he gives the mocha to her, she thanks Silver, and whispers to him, “Meet by the park at thirteen o’clock tomorrow afternoon.”
As soon as she said that, she ran out of the store with her peppermint mocha and left Silver in shock. He wonders if he should go or not. Anyway, he packs his things and leaves the store. Silver then goes home and gets a good night’s sleep.
When Silver wakes up, he realizes he has slept to late! It is already 12 PM, and Silver still wonders about the date that girl told him to attend. Should he really attend a date a random girl asks him to? No matter what, no matter how gorgeous that girl was, I should still rely on my own judgement, Silver thinks to himself.
He decides that girl deserves a date, so he put on his best cologne and a throws on a clean hoodie and walks to the park. When he arrives, the girl is already there. Silver greets her warmly. “Hello,” she says back. It’s obvious she’s nervous. Like it’s her first date. Silver asks her what her name is. “My name is Jade,” she replies, “What is yours?”
Silver tells Jade that his name is Silver, and she starts to laugh. “You mean, like the metal?” Jade asks. “Well, it’s not like your name is not named after the gemstone,” Silver counters back. “Okay, you do have a point,” she replies. Silver asks her why she took him here to the park. “Well, I need a favor to ask of you,” she begins, “I need to go live by myself because I got suspended from college yesterday, and you look strong, so can you help me live on my own from my family?”
Silver stares at her in shock. Live with someone else? The truth was, he was still living with his family. He had not attended college, and barely made any cash from his job. Should he live with this girl? Or should Silver live the same boring life he always had? The choice was his. And he made the right decision.
He wants to try something new. “Will I just live with you?” Silver asks. “Yes, you will also play the role as my boyfriend,” Jade answered. Silver blushes. They would be dating? He shakes the redness off his face as he holds out his hand. “Deal. I will live with you as your roomate and boyfriend for as long as you want. However, If I want to leave, you can let me do so,” Silver declares. “Deal,” Jade responds as she holds out her hand to shake his. What Silver Amulet didn’t know was that this decision would change his whole life perspective forever.
