The Diaries of Summer Camp

( maddy pov) Diary Entery Day 1 June 28th

It had been like this since I was five years old going to summer camp with my brother and his two best friends, Kevin had been looking after me ever since our mom passed away he's always included me in everything that he Taylor and Noah do. That includes all the late night swimming at the beach, going to parties and even playing video games with them. My parents grew up with Taylor and Noah's parents and we all kind of just became best friends , growing up with my brother Kevin, and his friends Taylor and Noah...I felt at home around them . Today was the last day of school and like every single year Kevin and I would meet Taylor and Noah at their mom's beach house in Florida before going to summer camp every year. But this year Kevin was going to be a life guard at the camp, while Taylor taught surf lessons to the local teens around the area...as for Noah he was busy working on his college applications. Which just left me and Marie which was Taylor and Noah 's mom she became like a mom to me and Kevin after our mom passed away, when the boys got too busy for me she would always bake cookies with me or we'd go see a movie or a fun. Their dad is a pilot and works alot so we hardly ever see him except for the fourth of July. As I stepped out my brother's jeep Taylor ran over with a huge grin on his face hugging Kevin and me he stopped mid hug looking at me " wow! Maddy it's only been one summer but you look so grown up I hardly recognize you " he says smirking at me Kevin raise his eyebrow at Taylor " Tay! Can you please stop flirting with my sister its gross!" I roll my eyes at him annoyed " shut up Kevin!" I say elbowing him as Noah approaches us smiling slightly " hey" he says looking at me " hey ...how was your school year?" I ask him curiously he nods at me sighing " good , when did you get boobs?" He asks me laughing I raise my eyebrow at the boys as they all laugh " apparently before you all grew a set of balls!" Marie laughs slightly " seems like our maddy has grown up alot since we've last seen her I think she's beautiful dont you boys?" She says looking at Taylor and Noah smiling at them . Taylor nods at me " I gotta say I really like you with no braces and your outfit is really hot!" He says his surfer blonde hair flowing in the wind his ocean blue eyes that are hard to not stare into. Danm it! Why were they both so cute ...Taylor was really sweet and always included me in everything he was the youngest of the two he was my age sixteen. Then there was Noah seventeen years old and stubborn as hell! I wasnt sure exactly how he saw me he was a hard book to read. Taylor looked at Kevin excitedly " hey Kev! Lets go, Noah and I hooked us up with some really great looking girls come on lets go to the beach !" Taylor says excitedly I wave to them smiling slightly " have fun...." but deep down what I really was thinking was " wish it was me" marie wrapped her arm around me tightly smiling " alright kiddo, lets say we crash their party sound fun!?" She says grinning at me giggling I smile at her confused she nods winking at me " come on maddy lets find something for you to wear ,something my boys will love you in!" She snaps her fingers and runs into the house then runs back out with this strapless summer dress its red and silky i touch the fabric in awe she smiles at me " I bought it for you as a seventeenth birthday gift but I figured a few days early wont hurt ...besides It'll look amazing on you! " I grin as I go into the bathroom to put it on I didn't recognize myself but somehow wearing the dress felt right. I walked back outside and marie grinned at me " you look gorgeous Maddy your mother would have been proud!" She says hugging me tightly we head down to the beach as she sets up our stuff Kevin immediately removes his tongue from the girls mouth and begins to stalk over to me. " Maddy what the hell are you doing here?! And what are you wearing?!" He shouts at me angirly then Taylor and Noah approach us " kev, calm down...she's just wearing a dress my mom bought her" Taylor says looking at him sighing heavily " Are you serious right now Taylor she's dressed like a whore!" Noah steps in and glares at Kevin " Kevin! That's enough apologize to Maddy right now!" He says looking at my brother Kevin sighs heavily feeling embarrassed " you're right I'm sorry maddy , you're not a little girl anymore....the dress looks good have fun with marie " he says walking away from me. Marie sighs heavily looking at me " Are you alright maddy whats gotten into Kevin?" She asks curiously I shrug at her as Taylor and Noah begin to walk away too I soeak up " uh ...thank you both " they look at me confused as they turn back around " for what maddy ?" Noah asks curiously " for saying something to my brother about the dress....Kevin is very protective ever since..." Taylor nods at me " we know maddy...he's just afraid to lose you too. Besides Noah and I are your brst friends too we will always help you out. " I sat next to marie in the sun , we talked for hours " you know maddy ...both my boys have always had a little crush on you...Taylor most of all. I mean sure he flirts with everyone that boy is like a golden retriever just walking around. " I giggled at her metaphor we headed toward the water as marie began to pack up I didn't hear her calling me I was watching the waves roll by while sitting up on my favorite rock when all of a sudden a huge wave took me under I couldn't breath I kept gasping for air. I blacked out when I came too Taylor , Noah , Kevin and marie were surrounding me . Kevin looked at me sighing " thank god!" He said hugging me I shoved him away gently " Kevin ow ! Im fine" Noah sighs heavily looking at me " no Maddy youre not , you nearly drowned...Taylor saved your life and your back is all banged up from the rocks ." I roll my eyes " the wave took me under , really guys I'm fine " Taylor sighs " oh no maddy youre not getting out of this that easy , kev...Noah take Kevin's jeep meet us at the hospital I will bring Maddy and mom in my car. " he says looking at me smiling I didn't argue with Taylor I just got into the car and let him take me . Marie shut the car door smiling at me " go ahead kids , I've got my car here I'll meet you there Taylor take care of Maddy " she says smiling at him he smiles that perfect smile as his dimples appear I look at him entranced by his smile as he replies to her " Always mom!" As we start driving away I feel him watching me as we head to the hospital I turn my head smiling at him " what?" I ask him curiously he smirks at me laughing " nothing, just can't believe how much you've changed since last year that's all " he says as we park in the lot " I can't believe you would hook up with such trash like Hanna! Weekends " I say to Taylor as he helps me into the hospital waiting room. He laughs slightly nodding at me " well you're not wrong Maddy and I wasn't hooking up with her , we just kissed. Not that its any of your business " he says smirking at me as he hands me some firms to fill out as he helps into a wheelchair and begins to push me down the hallway. I hand the forms back to Taylor as he hands them to the nurse she looks them over and nods at me " come with me miss brooks we are taking you exray " the nurse says grabbing the wheelchair and wheeling me away from the waiting area where Taylor, Noah ,Kevin and marie sat waiting looking worried. Once finished the xrays I was sent back to the my room where everyone was waiting " maddy what did the doctor say?" Noah asks me curiously I sigh looking at him " they said I was really lucky that I didn't die but that the bruises on my back are not internal injuries theyre caused by the rocks hitting me too hard apparently I do have a broken arm so I'll be stuck in a cast all summer " i explain to them Kevin sighs " that sucks sis, but atleast youre alive...and hey we can still go to parties promise!" He says looking at me Taylor shakes his head at me " No way! No parties for maddy for awhile not after what just happened today I think Noah will agree with me on this " he says looking at Noah " Tay, is right I'm sorry maddy no parties until you heal " Noah says calmly I raise my eyebrow at them annoyed " uh you two seriously are worse then Kevin sometimes you know I'm not eight years old anymore!" I cover my mouth in embarrassment looking at them both apologetically " Oh my god Noah , Taylor I'm so sorry I dont even know why I said that!" " Noah says looking at me when we got home back to Marie's beach house Hanna, Nicky and Bree were all standing in the driveway so close that Taylor nearly hit them I screamed suddenlyas my head hit the back of Kevin's seat " ow! Her and I used to be classmates when I came here for schooling, but she changed she became obsessed with her looks and what boys thought of her...epically if those boys were guys like my best friends Noah and Taylor. Nicky and Bree say goodnight to my brother and Noah . I found Taylor sitting by the pool he looked really upset, his eyes were red from crying. I sat down next to him my feet in the water , he sighed heavily leaning his head on my shoulder softly I sighed " Taylor, I'm sorry about your break up with hanna " I say to him in a concering way he sighs " Maddy , I'm not upset because I broke up with Hanna...I'm upset because she called you that awful name. " he says wipping his eyes as I sat there replaying the incident in my head when Hanna called me a " whore" I realize now that even Noah and Kevin had this look of disgust and anger on their faces but everyone except Taylor was speechless when it happened almost like they were frozen from what hanna had said. I looked at Taylor confused " I'm sorry Taylor I don't understand what you mean? Why are you upset because she called me a name?" I ask him curiously he lifts his hand touching my face gently leaning his forehead against mine softly " Maddy, you're my best friend but I've always ....wished us to be something more" he leaned in kissing me deeply just then Noah shoved Taylor into the pool angirly and began to fight with him within moments Noah had Taylor under water I screamed Kevin's name " Kevin!" He ran out in a panic and jumped in after them breaking them apart marie walked out angirly glaring at the two of them as poor Taylor came up gasping for air I ran to help him he sighed heavily looking at Marie " both of you inside now!" She said angirly Taylor looked at me " Dont worry I'll be alright " he said heading inside before noah headed in I looked at marie " actually marie I'd like a word with Noah please alone..." I say to her she nods at me walking inside with Kevin and Taylor. Noah rolls his eyes at me sighing " why Taylor of all guys?" He asks me folding his arms annoyed I glare at him " why did you try to hurt him noah you could have killed your own brother over what a kiss!?" Noah sighs heavily running his fingers threw his hair " It wasn't about the kiss Maddy!" He says looking at me I looked at him sighing heavily " It was about who was kissing me wasn't Noah? You were angry with Taylor because you wanted to be the one kissing me pool side ....am I right?" He blushes looking away from me " you're not wrong....look maddy I'm I hurt Taylor I didn't mean to get that angry, I just I dont want to loose you especially not to my own brother. He's a great person but he's got a track record for having a girlfriend every fucking week and I just don't want to see you get hurt . I care about you Maddy...." he explains to me sighing holding my hand gently I look down at our hands pulling away " you have Nicky ....besides I appreciate you looking out for me but I never said I was interested in Taylor we only kissed. Besides Kevin would probably lose his mind if he found out that you and Taylor have a thing for me...Noah we go to camp tomorrow please do me the favor and apologize to Taylor and just lets have a great summer please " he nods at me smiling leaning his head against mine fustratedly " yeah , for you Maddie I'll do anything. After tonight you probably won't see much of me , Kevin and Taylor we're all working at the camp and girls are only mixed with guys during swimming , lunch and activities. " he says I nod at him smiling " yeah I know, its same every year Noah...when we were kids I used to sneak into your cabin because I hated being alone in a storm and I felt safe around you , Taylor and Kevin. " he laughs slightly " unfortunately you can't do that this year...the rules are strict anyone caught sneaking into another cabin is sent home . " I sigh shrugging at him " maybe its worth it if it means I get to soend my summer here at the beach house " he smirks at me laughing " come on maddy....lets go inside my mom is waiting oh and maddy if you really do like Taylor all I want is for you to be happy so If he does go ahead" he says looking at me smiling slightly as we walk inside I head upstairs to my room for bed leaving Taylor and Noah to talk out their shit ( Taylor pov) I sat there glaring at Noah as he sighed heavily " Look, Taylor I'm sorry. I took it too far....before you even ask yes I like maddy too. But I spoke with her about it and told her if she really likes you to go ahead and date you, because youre my brother and she's my best friend and I don't want to lose either of you over this. I want you both happy " I couldn't believe what Noah was saying....he didn't even like Hanna or approve of her but he was actually sitting here confessing to me that he liked the same girl I did . Shit! hopefully Kevin didn't know because he'd be pissed at us. I sighed heavily looking at Noah " you're really okay with this noah ?" I ask him concerned he nods at me smiling " yes , we go to camp tomorrow so go talk to her before she's not allowed to see you " he says looking at me I stand up slowly heading upstairs I could tell that it hurt him to let her go for me. I knocked on her door maddy opened the door slightly " Taylor hey! Its late what are you doing here?" She asks me curiously " uh my brother and I talked and he said I should come see you before camp tomorrow...." I smirk at her " oh! Right well come in" she says opening her bedroom door then locking it behind me " what did you want to talk about Taylor?" She asks me curiously I struggle to find my words " maddy would you like to go out with me?" She tilts her head confused " like a date? Or date you?" She asks me curiously " well ...we can start slow with a movie date they're showing a movie two days from now at the camp would like to sit with me and watch it? I thought maybe you and I could attend tomorrow's bonfire party together too?" She smiles at me brightly " okay sounds fun! Seeya at the party around eight " she says kissing me softly as she stands up I reach for her hand pulling her ontop of me she giggles looking into my eyes as kiss her deeply as her legs wrap around me. She places her hands on my chest kissing me deeply " I'm sorry Taylor I'm not ready yet, and you need to go to bed you have surf lessons tomorrow " I laugh looking at her as she opens the door shutting it in my face In my room I see Kevin laying in bed he looks at me sighing " If you hurt my sister I'll kill you Taylor, I saw you kissing her earlier tonight by the pool. Just ...dont hurt her got it!" He says rolling over to sleep I knew then that I was playing with fire....and Maddy was the fuse between me and Noah.
