Mecha-Satan

Three months have passed since we fought the Auspicious Beasts. I learned that my friends and I have stopped aging due to our status as the Neon Cavaliers. I chopped down some pine trees, taking them back to the house built on the land I own, thanks to the deed given to me by Queen Tiffani back during the Coastal Tournament. I placed the wood down, stretched my arms, and yawned.

"Man, I'm tired."

I grabbed a nearby axe and started chopping the wood when Yuki opened the door and walked toward me with a tray of lemonade.

"Hey, Alex. Thought you'll be thirsty, so I made some lemonade."

I took a drink of lemonade and thanked Yuki. Yuki promptly left, and I continued chopping the wood when I suddenly felt a familiar presence.

"Is something the matter, Terra?"

Terra emerged from a nearby tree and smiled.

"Sorry for the sudden intrusion, but we need your help. The other Guardians are gathering the other Neon Cavaliers as we speak."

I smiled and went to grab my sword. Yuki noticed me and asked what was happening.

"Nothing much, but Terra needs my help with something."

"Let me go with you."

I shook my head.

"I need you to stay here and work on the farmland. We need an income if we plan to live here."

"Oh, yeah. But next time trouble happens, let me come with you, ok?

Yuki and I kissed each other, and I left with Terra to her domain. I greeted Leo, Connor, and Matt when we arrived.

"So what's happening that you need all of us?"

"You see, Leo, Tian Shi has noticed Solar Systems disappearing in the Andromeda galaxy. We need the five of you to go and investigate. Tian Shi found out the culprit's next destination, a planet called Geo. It's similar to Earth, with a breathable atmosphere. Even the solar system is the same."

Bridget walked toward us, much to Terra's dismay.

"Bridget will be joining you since she kept bugging me about it. I'll be sending you off now."

Terra held out her hand and teleported us to planet Geo. The terrain was rocky yet familiar.

"Terra wasn't kidding. This place is exactly like Earth."

I walked around, looking at the surrounding area.

"Guess we should start looking for the one responsible?"

"That won't be necessary, as I'll save you the trouble."

I turned around, seeing a figure standing on a cliff, and shock enveloped our bodies. The person standing before us was a mechanized Satan.

"Satan!? How are you alive?"

"You're right, Alex. I should be dead after being fired into that blue star. However, it seems fate thought otherwise and gave me a second chance, thanks to the Nano-Star absorbing my body. Call me Mecha-Satan, new and improved."

"The Nano-Star?"

Satan looked at Leo and pointed toward the sky, where a dwarf-sized star eclipsed the planet.

"I was testing my new body by destroying some solar system and any life I find on my way to you, just like I did to this planet, but it seems someone caught wind and brought you to me."

Mecha-Satan lunged forward, kicking Leo's stomach and knocking him into a mountain. We all stood there, shocked at his speed and power.

"And I would like to thank them for allowing me to kill you all here and now!"

We all rushed Mecha-Satan, but he dodged our attacks and knocked us back with multiple attacks. Satan looked at Bridget, intrigued by her.

"You have a large amount of power within you for an android. Who are you?"

"My name is Bridget, one of the Guardians of Earth, and how'd you know I'm an android?"

"I scanned your biometrics and saw the amount of power within you is enough to match mine. You should prove entertaining, especially since we both have infinite stamina."

Mecha-Satan immediately teleported behind Bridget and threw a kick, but she blocked the attack. Bridget pushed Mecha-Satan back and charged at him, throwing a barrage of punches and kicks. Mecha-Satan dodged them all and knocked Bridget back with a point-blank energy blast.

Bridget landed on the ground and got back up, wiping dust off herself. We rushed toward Bridget and asked if she was alright.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Mecha-Satan wasn't kidding about his strength, strong enough to destroy the Earth's solar system, that's for sure. I need one or two of you to go and fight while I scan for a weakness in his schematics."

I stood up as Mecha-Satan walked toward us.

"Do you think it's possible to hack into him?"

"No, I already tried. Mecha-Satan can't be hacked into at all. His firewall is too advanced."

"I'll fight him. Connor, if things get rough, I need you to come and help me."

Connor nodded, and I walked toward Satan to confront him.

"So you plan to fight me? What makes you think you stand a chance when you're not even near my power?"

"Things have changed since we last saw you, Satan. Allow me to show you."

I transformed into my Pseudo-Dragon Form, shocking Mecha-Satan.

"Wha-what is this?!"

I lunged at Satan and landed a bunch to his face, sending him flying backward into a boulder.

"This is my Pseudo-Dragon Form. It increases my power 50-fold, allowing me to match you in combat!"

I fired a barrage of energy blasts toward Satan, but he teleported away, dodging the attack. Satan appeared above and did a downward kick, but I blocked it with my arms.

I unleashed a burst of aura from my body, sending Satan into the air, and flew toward him. I landed a barrage of punches on Satan and prepared to finish him with a sword slash, but Mecha-Satan grabbed my sword and pulled me toward him.

"Care to try a bit harder? You're starting to bore me."

Mecha-Satan did a headbutt, grabbed my tail, and threw me into a mountain. I unleashed a burst of energy and flew toward Mecha-Satan.

"You want me to try harder? Then how about this!"

I slashed my sword forward, cutting off Mecha-Satan's left arm. I landed on the ground and looked at the mechanical demon. Wires emerged from Mecha-Satan's shoulder and formed a new left arm. Mecha-Satan looked at me and smiled.

"It is important to note that I am constantly under observation from the Nano-Star. Any damage I receive is rectified and remedied, and any faults resulting in said damage are corrected. To summarize, your death is imminent."

"We'll see about that tin man."

Mecha-Satan smiled and entered a combative stance.

"Then allow me to show you something."

Mecha-Satan started to scream, releasing an aura as his body began to change appearance. He gained shoulder pads, horns on his head, spikes on his forearms, and became twice as tall. I stood there utterly terrified at the power of his form as Satan created a mask around his mouth that closed shut.

"Terrified? You should be. I call this form demon evolution. It increases my power 100-fold and shall be the last thing you ever gaze upon!"

Mecha-Satan appeared in front of me and landed a punch to my gut before I could react. He grabbed me with his tail and slammed me around like a rag doll before kicking me away. I flipped around and landed on the ground, charging energy in my hands. I fired the energy beam, but Satan nullified the attack with the palm of his right hand, shocking me. He then used my Dragon Flash skill, sending a beam toward me that I quickly blocked.

"No way! That was one of my skills!"

Mecha-Satan rushed toward me, grabbed my throat, and squeezed it tightly. I tried to escape but to no avail. Connor and Leo knocked him back with a combined kick to his head, and Bridget and Matt fired an energy beam, creating an explosion.

"Bridget came up with a plan, Alex. All we need to do is combine our strengths and blast him before he can regenerate his body."

Everyone activated their transformations, and we all charged at Mecha-Satan. With our combined might, we tore through him, leaving him torn in half. As Satan began to regenerate, we turned around and fired a powerful energy beam, turning Satan into minuscule pieces that exploded into smoke.

We all landed on the floor, happy with our victory. We prepared to leave, but Bridget noticed something on her visor and looked up at a nearby cliff. Her face turned to utter shock and fear as an army of Mecha-Satans was spotted. We all took a step back, fear taking hold of our bodies at the sight of the Mecha-Satan army.

"Don't look so surprised, as I said earlier; I am constantly under observation from the Nano-Star. Any flaw is instantly rectified and remedied. If you had trouble with one of me, let's see how you fare against a thousand, shall we?"

We all stood up as the Mecha-Satan army headed toward us. I looked at my friends and smiled.

"Guess we each take on 200? Oh, and it was nice knowing you all."

We unleashed a burst of aura from our bodies, detonating the surrounding area in bright light. I awoke seeing wires on our bodies. I looked around our surroundings and figured we were inside the Nano-Star.

"Satan, come out! I know you're here!"

"Welcome to the core of the Nano-Star, but I figured you already knew that. In terms of where I am, I guess I'm all around you."

Bridget noticed a head of Satan in the middle of the room.

"What do you mean?"

"You see, Bridget. The Nano-Star is a machine built by an ancient race to collect data on stars. However, none of them expected it would grow sentient, and it began to devour any star in its path. Confined in a constant loop of regenerating inside the blue giant star you Neon Cavaliers blasted me into, but the Nano-Star found it and devoured its energy, along with me with it. My conciseness merged with the Nano-Star, and I took control."

"So, why didn't you kill us?"

As Connor spoke, Mecha-Satan activated the wires attached to our bodies, making us scream in pain as our energy was abstracted.

"To turn you into backup batteries. Any to kill you more slowly."

Mecha-Satan turned off the switch, and we all fell silent.

"Now then, it's time to destroy this solar system."

A small explosion appeared in the core room, drawing Satan's attention.

"What was that?"

Satan noticed that he was still drawing energy from our bodies.

"What, no! I turned off the switch, so how am I still drawing energy from the five of you!"

More explosions emerged from the room as the Nano-Star began to be overrun by them. Mecha-Satan dropped us to the ground by removing the wires from our bodies.

"You fools, how dare you do this to me!"

I stood up and chuckled.

"It's your fault. It was Bridget who overran your systems thanks to her infinite energy supply. All thanks to her being an android."

"I've had enough of your insolence."

The head of Satan created a body and lunged toward me.

"Bridget, get everyone out here now, and I'll take care of Satan!"

Bridget nodded and used teleportation magic to take everyone back to Terra's domain. I surrounded my body in a dome of energy and smiled at Satan.

"I'm going to destroy you by recreating one of my favorite scenes in anime!"

Satan threw a punch, but I unleashed my attack before it could connect.

"Dragonic Explosion!"

I unleashed a gigantic, swirling dome of golden energy, enveloping the entire Nano-Star, and tearing it apart. Mecha-Satan tried to protect himself, but my attack began to tear him apart.

"No, how can this be!? I was so close to my revenge!"

Satan let out a chuckle when he suddenly remembered something.

"That's right. Lilim, I hope you received the data I collected for you. Make me proud."

As I floated in space with Mecha-Satan and the Nano-Star destroyed, Bridget came and took me back to Terra's domain. I went back to my home and collapsed on the bed. Yuki came in soon after and nestled up beside me.

"So, care to tell me what happened?"

I sat up and explained everything to Yuki.

"Must have been an intense fight."

"It was. Well, I need some rest. Good night, Yuki."

As Yuki and I fell asleep, Lilim was looking at a tube filled with liquid when a demon came carrying a small chip in her hand.

"Lilim, we received this from your father."

Lilim picked up the chip and smiled.

"The data on the Neon Cavaliers, I presume?"

"Correct. It also contains the schematics of your father's mechanical body. If you wish to rebuild him."

"Why would I rebuild that waste of space? My father served his purpose, so there's no need."

Lilim looked at the clones of Me, Leo, Matt, and Connor.

"Soon, they'll be ready, and the Neon Cavaliers will fall."
