The hospital

The hospital...that's all it was. That’s what they said. How wrong could they be…

Trembling away in terror, I stumbled back into the wall,tightly grasping my teddy, my eyes frozen on the shadow rippling over my form. The white walls were now stained with blood, bloody bed covers were thrown back in horror as people ran for their life. They didn't make it out the door. I was next. The shadow loomed even closer. Their eyes gleaming from the dark, a glaze over surface as if it were a window. I quivered at the monster. My heart thudded loudly in my chest. Dead bodies surrounded me. Their throats slit , like someone had cut a piece of cake; a trainglar shape. The shadow rippled closer. My screams of terror could not be heard.

"Please don't hurt me!" The shadow chuckled lowly at me. It's tongue clicked off the top of it's mouth.

I shivered but did not look up. My eyes traced the shadow as my heart thumped loudly in my chest. Suddenly, a cold hand clasped around my throat as it lifted me into the air. My little fingers pried at it, my teddy still tight in my grasp. The shadow released a bellowing laugh which represented a wail, it's fingers letting me slip from it's grasp . I covered my ears as I staggered over a dead body, it's hand limply catching my foot. Shaking it off, I search for something to catch the approaching shadow. A glinting knife caught my eye. My hand shot out. I didn't hesitate as I flung it at the beast. It's claw like hand clasped it's chest as it gasped for air and light. Staggering backwards, it fell over a dead body before slumping to the floor.

A victorious smile brushes on my teeth as I grin at him. The fur of teddy evaporates into the smooth handle of a deadly knife, layers of blood coat it as the cover falls to the ground. Observing the knife, I run it's spine down my tongue, the iron blood flows into my mouth. I moan at it's taste. It is beautiful. Glancing at the mirror, I wipe the blood from my face. Skipping, I step over my victim's bodies and laugh. No one would expect a 'child'. It was always like this. Dropping the knife, which clatters to the ground, I walk over to corner. My footsteps cold and calculated as I slide down the wall. Bringing my knee's to my chest, I shiver with terror, a tear wells in my eye as I wait for help to come. Taking my victims in one more time, I smile in one final victory. The hospital...that's all it was. They would say. How wrong were they...it is where I like to play.
