Summary

This was the first sighting. A large black beast with pale eyes. Arthur spotted the hideous black fur visible through the golden crops. He saw through those pale eyes. Those cold, pale, dead eyes. When a mysterious black dog is seen walking across the large wheatfield opposite the Church of Delsham Green on a windy day in 1913, the image shocks many of the villagers. As more and more sightings of the black beast surface, however, rumours sprout of something...darker at play. It's up to the ageing reverend of the village, Arthur Moore, to quench the rising hysteria as fears and apprehensions come to light. As apprehensions escalate, along with the sightings, Arthur faces a losing battle, and with the unknown facing him, it quickly becomes a race to find the truth of the matter of the beast.

Epigraph

And Rain Falls Here

Elliot Dawes

In the third circle I arrive, of showers

Ceaseless, accursed, heavy and cold, unchanged

For ever, both in kind and in degree.

Large hail, discolor’d water, sleety flaw

Through the dun midnight air stream’d down amain:

Stank all the land whereon that tempest fell.

Cerberus, cruel monster, fierce and strange,

Through his wide threefold throat, barks as a dog

Over the multitude immersed beneath.

-Inferno, Canto VI

Ku_Rolet: The novel was good, and I really enjoyed reading it. I love the leads and their bond, but I have one question that confused me. How could Tristan have been dreaming about his mate since he was a child if Omara was already mated to someone else before him? If Kyle had accepted Omara, would Tristan ne...

Roxx@n: It was longer, it was a really good read. I enjoyed it a lot. Wanted to see if Carlos became a great dad and he Grayson his friend out loud. He's rather closed off so a lil broader back story would be nice. And yes the wedding and twins announcement. A girl can hope right?
