Summary

This doesn't really need a summary. It is a short couple paragraph story I made based on the emotions one of my friends felt during one moment. I am posting this because I haven't written anything that can be posted in a while. Enjoy!

Hider's Motive

Kiki ran far from home. She never thought her friend would do this. She was confused and scared. How her so happy friend was now trying to kill her. And the worst part, she is about to succeed.

She could hear her in the distance, getting closer. She had hidden, with only one way out. Her heart was beating harder as her nerves grew. She got closer, right above her, and her breath hitched. Kiki looked up to see the girl who was chasing her, now smiling.

The girl stopped for a second. She watched Kiki’s face. She was going to give her friend time to run more. Kiki realized this and hesitated. Then, she made her choice.

Her friend tapped her on the nose. Kiki smiled at her best friend. After moving away for two years, her best friend came back and hijacked the group’s game of hide and seek. Kiki jumped up and hugged her friend. It was the best thing to have her back after so long apart.

The group all went back inside. Kiki and her friend stayed over for the night. The next morning, Kiki and her friend were gone. Not long after, the body of the host of their previous party was found. The pair ran, both knowing killers should never split with their partners, at least, not more than once.

Neenee73: The author managed to weave instant tension and mystery from the get go. It was a balancing act that kept me guessing and made everyone look like they could be a villain which is on par with the great writers of mystery like Agatha and Doyle. I was jumping at every creak. If you like tension in ever...
