Chapter 1

On a cold night, Marcus lit candles because his wife Natalie was chilly, and tears rolled down Marcus’ face when he heard Natalie open the door to their living room.

She wanted to fall asleep in his arms, and her eyes were heavy. Her husband was ready to shower her.

Once in the shower, the warm and soothing water combined with Marcus’ caress forced Natalie to give up her struggle to avoid sleeping, and he tucked his wife securely into her side of the bed with her covers.

Eventually, Marcus found it hard to avoid falling deep asleep himself. The comfort he felt from inhaling the scent of his wife’s skin increased his desire to become one within Natalie’s sweet and unbroken slumber. He welcomed the warmth of his body becoming limp and his eyes becoming too heavy to stay open.

Marcus carefully placed one of his ears on his slumbering wife’s chest. Even though he was ready to fall asleep, he could not help but have trouble catching his breath. He felt himself rising and falling while Natalie’s stomach inhaled and exhaled.

Increasing waves of sleepy warmth and soothing pleasure continued to massage Marcus’ body, mind, and soul. To him, it was like falling asleep on an ocean wave. “Dear Jesus,” he prayed, in his dream, “please never wake me from this. This angel is my Peace of Mind. Every night in bed, she makes me feel like I have swum in the ocean. She is a rare Gift from God. Amen.”
