The Story
Light grew up in the suburbs of New York and was fortunate enough to have everything she desired. Her parents separated when she was young, and she was left in the care of her paternal grandfather. Her grandfather treated her like his own child, taking care of her, picking her up from school, feeding her, and sleeping beside her at night. Meanwhile, her father worked in Los Angeles, and they only had occasional conversations through chats and video calls on birthdays. Although her dad provided for her financially, she didn’t have a solid emotional connection with him.
When Light was around 15 years old, her grandfather, who had been taking care of her, passed away. This left her in the care of the housekeeper, as her father had to continue working to provide for her. Sadly, her father even missed his father’s funeral due to work obligations. Despite this challenging time, Light remained resilient and optimistic, always looking for positive things. She truly lived up to her name.
