Chapter 1: The Neighbours House
I was in the backyard reading a book called "Time Through Fate" while watching my little brother play with our dog. My mom informed me that my little brother's playmate was coming over so I had to watch over both of them. I put the book down and went inside the house to get some snacks and drinks for my brother. When I got back, I noticed there was a page sticking out to me in the back of the book. I opened the last page of the book and saw a note saying "Time travel is real". I thought to myself, "
Time travel? Real? I don't think so. There's no way in human history that proves the existence of time travel
". 5 minutes later my little brother's playmate came. They threw a ball for our dog to catch but it went flying to the neighbour's house. I ignored it cause it wasn't my fault it went over the high fence. My brother and his friend went up to me with no hesitation and asked me to get the ball for them. They told me there was a hole in the high fence for me to crawl through and get their ball.
"Get it yourself, can't you see I'm busy," I said frustratingly.
"I'm scared, the neighbours might not give me my ball back," He said.
I sighed and crawled through the fence. I saw the ball rolling to the neighbour's flower pot. I got up and picked up the ball when suddenly I heard a voice speaking.
"Holt! Who are you? What are you doing on my property?"
A boy suddenly spoke. He was wearing something out of style like vintage trousers and some kind of beret. He looks the same age as me but doesn't have the same clothing style. He looks like a grandpa honestly.
"I'm sorry, I just came to get my brother's ball. They threw it so high that it went over the high fence and landed here. I'm your neighbour, I live next door. Sorry I crawled through the fence" I said.
The boy looked uncertain about what I just said.
"Did you just say you live next door?" He asked.
"Yes," I replied confidently.
"Can you show me to your house?" He said.
"Uh ok?" I replied curiously.
I led him to the fence and crawled through. When we got to the other side I was shocked to see a field and not a house in sight.
"Didn't you say you live next door?" He asked hesitantly
"I do! One minute I was in our backyard crawling through the fence and bumping into you, the next thing I knew our house is gone and this dang field is here" I said panicked
"Who are you exactly? And what is your motive" He asked.
A girl on a tricycle suddenly threw the boy a newspaper. "Here's the latest scoop Jack!" she rode down the road until she was out of sight delivering newspapers.
"So Jack is his name" I thought to myself. I turned my focus to the newspaper wondering why was a girl delivering the newspaper on a bicycle.
"Why did that girl just throw you a newspaper? Don't you have phones to know the latest scoop?" I asked curiously.
"You mean telephone?" he said
"No, a phone. A cellphone. You know, for social media and stuff and you can take pictures with it" I said.
"We only have cameras for taking pictures," he said.
I was wondering how on earth the only existence for taking photos was a camera. Then it hit me.
"What year is it???" I asked curiously and anxiously.
"No, it couldn't be." I thought to myself
"1950, why?" He said wondering.
"DID I JUST TRAVEL BACK IN TIME?"
