Third person’s POV

After their long awaited honeymoon, Carlos and his now husband Mateo have returned to handle their business but with the little stunt Tanya pulled on them a couple of moths ago, has the Mafia Lords working hard to clean their houses and hold numerous Underground meetings.

"Gentlemen, I think there's only one thing to do at this point. Take the war to the Circle." Esteban says with a hard look.

"I don't disagree with that, but before we go in with guns blazing, I think I have a better idea." Carlos informs getting the attention of the table, "Vincenzo." He adds while the table share knowing looks, "I know he left the Underground and joined the Golden circle some years now and the last time I checked, he and I are still in good terms." Carlos adds while his husband gives him a questioning look, "Let me talk to him first. Let’s find out what we are dealing with. He owes me one." He ends with a nod.

Vincenzo's Pov

I take a deep breath while I stare out the window. Up here the city looks so peaceful and it made me smile when a light knock is heard on my office door.

"Come on in." I turn around when one of my bodyguards steps in bowing slightly.

"My apologies. sir. Mr Sanchez and his husband have arrived." He informs politely.

"Show them in." I take a few step back into the vast room and watch as Carlos and his husband enters the room.

"Carlos." I smile.

"Vincenzo." He smiles back walking towards me to pull me into a bro hug causing me to chuckle lightly.

"It has been long, my friend." I say patting him on the back. He pulls away offering me a smile.

"Indeed." He turns around taking the hand of the man standing beside him, "Vincenzo, meet Mateo. My husband." He smirks, "babe, this is Vincenzo. An old friend."

"Pleasure meeting you. It's finally nice to put a face to the name." I say stretching out my hand to him which he takes firmly in a handshake.

"Likewise. Carlos mentioned you. It's good to meet in person finally."

"Please, have a seat." I motion to the big couch.

They nod sitting beside each other and I couldn’t help but let my eyes linger on Mateo. He is nothing like the person I imagined he will be after everything I've heard about. The serpent, as they referred to him. He is a very handsome man I must admit with a jaw dropping smile. Appearances can be deceiving I guess.

"Let's not take up too much of your time." Carlos starts, "I'm pretty sure you have an idea of why we are here."

"I would like to think so." I sigh, "You know I had to take that seat on my father's orders."

"That’s not the issue my friend." Carlos says, "I just wanna know what they are planning. I'm aware we are asking for too much but we've never tried to cross them so we are kind of wondering why now? What’s their motive for all of this? They want a war?"

"Easy my friend. You didn't let me finish." I scoff, "I'm more of a silent member these days. I haven’t attended the meetings lately so I wouldn't know what to tell you."

"Why is that?" Mateo asks with furrowed brows.

"I'm sorry but those are personal reasons but I promise I will find out what they are up to." I smile at them, "I owe you that much." I say looking at Carlos.

"Of course you do." He frowns then burst into laughter making me shake my head at his antics, "You don't owe me anything. You would have done the same thing for me, I'm sure." He smiles warmly.

"Rest assured I will get back to you in a couple of days." I add picking up the bottle of whiskey on the table to pour it in two glasses then hands it to them, "and let’s not wait for another three years to meet. I have to get to know your husband as well." I smile brightly at Mateo which he mirrors with a nod.

"Of course." He says taking a sip of his whiskey when the door swung open causing us three to snap our heads towards the intruder.

"Sam? What's the meaning of this!?" I bark getting up with glaring eyes.

He bows quickly, "forgive me sir, but he is threatening to jump off the balcony!"

My eyes bugs out, "Oh no...not again."

"What? Who?" I hear Carlos ask while I run out followed by them.

We run up the upstairs to find him in his briefs standing very close to the edge of the glass.

"Baby? What's wrong? Look at me." I whisper taking a step towards him.

"It’s so peaceful out here." He says spreading his arms out.

"Yes, but we can watch it together from here. Where it's safe." I plead as I watch from the corner of my eye Carlos nodding at me and I understood and nod back.

"I miss Italy." He says letting out a deep breath.

"We could fly out tonight. Go to that restaurant you like." I whisper taking a few more steps towards him. Trying hard not to spook him.

"I wanna fly there right now." He says coldly leaning over.

"No!!" I scream right when Carlos jumps beside him, wrapping his arms around him and they fall backwards landing on me.

"Oh God." Mateo gasps rushing to us, "are you guys okay?" He asks helping his husband up.

"Yes." I mumble wrapping my arms around him while he laughs hysterically.

"Babe, let's give them a moment. Come on."

I hear Carlos say and I hear their footsteps fading away as they leave.

"You really need to stop doing this." I breathe into his hair kissing it with a sigh of relief, holding him tightly while we remain on the floor.

"I think I'm hungry." He says after a moment of silence.

I chuckle moving his hair from his face to stare down at his baby blue eyes, "what would you like?" I smile at him.

"Would you make it for me?" He asks with a smirk.

"Anything you want." I peck his lips softly.
