I hope we made it in another universe
“I wonder how happy she must be.”
“Who?”
“My variant in another multiverse who ends up with you.”
Jamil smiles and says,
“I am sure the other me would be on cloud nine.”
“I wish I was her.”
“Maybe we couldn’t be together in this universe because our variants are meant to be together in the other universe.”
“Maybe.”
Jamil hugs her very well knowing that it is their last hug. He kisses her on the forehead knowing he will not get this privilege again. They slowly escape each other’s grip. They say the goodbyes they thought they would never say.
“I hope we made it in another universe”, says Hina
“I am sure we did.” Jamil smiles.
They walk opposite without looking back, both of them holding back the tears. With so many possibilities in the multiverse, they wished this was one where they end up together. But they did not.
