Stacey Hill walked into work and slammed her stuff down on her desk. She worked at the Tanner Marketing Firm as a personal assistant to the CEO of the firm, Lincoln Tanner.
“Stace?” she heard Lincoln call from his office.
“Sorry boss,” Stacey said. He came out of his office.
“What happened?” Lincoln asked.
“Tim is what happened, he told me before I left to find a new place to live and that it was over,” Stacey said.
“Why?” Lincoln asked.
“Because of his fucking mother and her fucking lies,” Stacey said angrily.
“I’m sorry but be grateful you won’t have her as a mother-in-law,” Lincoln said.
“Oh believe me I am glad about that, I’m more pissed than upset,” Stacey said.
“He’s such a mama’s boy huh,” Lincoln said.
“Oh yeah, I don’t know why I stayed with him for so long with how she treated me, she never liked me, she thought I was all wrong for her son, she put me down all the time in front of hi and he just didn’t stand up for me,” Stacey said.
“Did you call him out on it?” Lincoln asked.
“What was the point, she’s his mother, she can’t do no wrong in his eyes, I sent Seth and Steven to pack up his stuff and throw his shit out and change the locks since he moved in with me and the apartment is in my name and he had the nerve to want me to move out, jackass won’t see it coming,” Stacey said. Seth and Steven were her brothers. Seth and Stacey were twins.
“Good girl, now you know I’m going to retire,” Lincoln said.
“Yes I know,” Stacey said.
“My son will be taking over and he wants you to stay on since I told him to keep you on since you are the best,” Lincoln said. They heard the elevator and looked up and saw Lincoln’s son, Lance.
“Hey Dad, hi Stacey,” Lance said.
“Hey Lance,” Stacey said.
“What’s going on?” Lance asked.
“Just talking,” Lincoln said.
“Why are you looking pissed off?” Lance asked.
“Tim and his fucking mother,” Stacey said.
“What did he do?” Lance asked.
“Told me this morning to find a new place to live and dumped me because of his mother’s lies, she recorded a conversation and edited it to her liking,” Stacy said.
“Well you deserve better than a mama’s boy,” Lance said.
“Yep, I sent Seth and Steven over to throw his shit out and change the locks since it’s my apartment,” Stacey said.
“Good, he can go live with his mother since he loves her so much,” Lance said.
“I may have done something on the way here,” Stacey said.
“What did you do Stace?” Lincoln asked.
“I may have posted on social media to everyone not to date Tim because he’s a true mama’s boy and he only loves her and how he is totally devoted to her,” Stacey said. She showed them the post. They smiled and laughed.
“Awesome,” Lance said. Lincoln and Lance went into the office while she sat at her desk.
Quick note from author:
Thank you for reading my stories. Please don’t criticize the way I write by pointing out the ‘he said she said’ parts. I want my style to be different from others and want everyone to know says what in my stories instead of everyone guessing who said what. It’s the way I have always written since I started over 20 years ago. Please only send positive comments and reviews. Keep the negative stuff to yourself. It will not change my way of writing and I won’t change my way of writing so keep those negative stuff to yourself. Have a good day and thanks for reading.
