Chapter 1
"Hello Neighbour!" I heard when I picked up the phone. I smiled at the sound of the voice coming from the speaker. "Hey Wally!How are you?" I asked Wally excitedly.He told me Julie was hosting a tea party later that day.I squealed happily. "Of course I'll come can you let her know?"I asked Wally as I twirled the the rubber coil connected to the phone.He agreed and we said our goodbyes as we hung up the phone.
My name is Bunny Button and I live in a place called Home.I live there with my friends Sally,Poppy,Eddie,Howdy,Frank,Julie,Barnaby and Wally.I'm the photographer in Home and I love to take pictures of my friends and the animals in Home.That's why me and Wally get along so well.Wally loves to paint so I take pictures and give them to him so he can paint them.I don't have just one best friend because everyone in Home is my best friend!
Ding dong
I opened the door to see Eddie the postman with a letter in hand."Hi Bunny!I have a letter for you!"He said with a smile."It's from Wally!"He told me.I opened the envelope to find a beautifully painted picture of a flower.I thanked Eddie and shut my door.I sighed."Oh Wally."
Wally POV
"We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when~" I sang to myself as I began to paint a picture of Bunny. Oh how I longed for her to realise how much I loved her. Julie came back from the kitchen with a biscuit."Y'know Wally why don't you just tell her how much you love her?" Julie enquired as I set down my paint brush."Really Julie?"I sighed."You really want to know why I can't just tell her".She nodded. I took a deep breath."Because I'm scared."I told her."I'm scared she won't love me back." I put my head in my hands.Julie patted me on the back."It's okay Wally. I feel ya."Julie left my house to go set up for the party."See ya Wally"She said kindly as she shut my door.I turned on the radio and began to sing along as I continued painting Bunny.Oh Bunny.My beloved Bunny.I wish you knew how much I cared about you.I sang a familiar song as It started to play."Sugar Pie Honey Bunch,you know that I love you,I can't help myself,I love you and nobody else,In and out my life,you come and you go,I can't help myself,I love you and nobody else."
Bunny's POV
I hung the picture on the wall and looked at the clock on the wall above my sofa. It was time for Julie's tea party! I grabbed my camera and headed out the door,my lavender hair flowing behind me.I walked up to Julie's house and knocked on the door."Hey Julie!"I exclaimed as Julie opened her door.I saw the interior of her house had been decorated with bunting and fairy lights of all colours.I could see cakes,sandwhiches and drinks layed out neatly on a table located in the center of her living room.I walked inside and saw Wally sat on the sofa ringing his hands."Oh hey Wally!"I called to him from where I stood in the doorway.He looked up and I swear I saw him blush slightly.He waved as I sat down next to him. He was eating a small cupcake while he balanced a large canvas shaped package on his lap.He placed his cake on his plate and handed me the package."Um It's a little gift for you Bunny" he told me with a smile.I carefully opened up the package to see a painting of me smiling back.I hugged Wally."I love it so much Wally!Thank you!"I squealed.Wally smiled as Julie stood in the doorway smirking.Wally stood up and said he needed to grab some water.
Wally POV
"Seems like you enjoyed that hug Wally!" Julie giggled as we stood in the kitchen."Quite down would you!"I whisper-shouted.Julie snickered quietly.She had always known about my crush on Bunny. Ever since I first saw Bunny I knew I loved her.I grabbed a cup from Julie's cupboard and filled it with water."You really do love her huh..." Julie whispered.I looked up at Julie."I just care about her too much!"
Bunny's POV
I gasped.Who was Wally talking about when he said that? I sat back down with a cake in hand and began to open the polka-dot casing when Wally and Julie sat down beside me."Hey Bunny!"Julie exclaimed.I waved to Julie and the doorbell rang.Barnaby and Poppy had arrived!Me and Wally walked over to them."Poppy!Barnaby!"I exclaimed as the blue dog and rainbow coloured bird walked into the living room.Not long after they arrived,Eddie,Frank,Woody and Sally came.We all had an amazing time.It was so fun that it felt like no time had passed at all!We all headed back to our houses after a while.I sat down on my sofa after hanging up the picture Wally gave me.
