MISSING SOMEONE

I can't help but think of someone I've lost as I sit here by myself. She was my best friend, and her name is Khushi. We first met in school and quickly fell in love. From studying for exams to going on adventures around the city, we did everything together.

But Khushi had to leave because she got into a good school in a different city. We made a promise to keep in touch, but our conversations became less frequent over time. I couldn't help but wonder what she was doing and how she was feeling because I missed her so much.

I made the decision to contact her one day. To my surprise, she responded almost immediately to my text message. It seemed like no time had passed at all when we resumed our normal conversation. It was like we were back in college as we reviewed everything that had transpired since our last conversation.

Khushi suggested that we return to the city where we first met when we decided to organize a trip together. We went to all of our favorite spots, and it was a nostalgic trip down memory lane. We reminisced about the good old days, laughed, and wept.

As the outing reached a conclusion, I understood the amount I had missed Khushi. She was not simply a friend; To me, she was like family. I made a promise to myself that I would never again allow our friendship to deteriorate. I thanked Khushi for our time together as we said our goodbyes and followed her as she left.

Khushi and I have kept in touch ever since that trip, and our friendship has strengthened more than ever. Despite the fact that we do not get together as frequently as we used to, we are aware that we will always be there for one another. I also know that I will always miss her when we are apart, no matter how long it is.
