Planning
Gaara's POV
When I wake up I see that we're in a place that doesn't look familiar. I frowned and turned to Naruto. "Where are we?"
"I have no idea," Naruto answered.
Yeah, that's helpful. I looked around and saw that everyone we had evacuated was alive. "At least we got out before our world came down on us," I muttered.
Naruto nodded. "Yeah, but it's only the Konoha and Suna who left."
"I know."
"Well, what are we going to do?" Temari asked. "We're drawing attention to ourselves just standing here."
I groaned. "You're right. But we know nothing about this place. So where do we go?"
"We could ask someone?" Sakura suggested.
Naruto rolled his eyes. "Yeah, and everyone will look at us like we're idiots. Everyone here knows where to go from the looks of it."
Sakura glared. "It was just a suggestion, Naruto. Do you have a better idea?"
"I can help you," said a soft female voice behind us.
We all turned and saw a girl with brown hair and blue eyes looking at us.
Julia's POV
I was walking to school when I saw them appear out of nowhere. People were barely paying attention to them though while they were arguing they were starting to draw attention to themselves. I debated going to school and leaving them to their fate but I just wasn't that person. Besides, they're all the right age to go to school. I'll skip school today though I have to come up with something good to appease my mom.
I walked up to them. "I can help you," I offered. They turned to me and I blushed. "I-I-I mean, if you want."
Gaara and Naruto looked me up and down. "Who are you?" Naruto asked.
"Julia," I muttered.
"Well, Julia. Do you find us stupid because we don't know the way?"
I couldn't help it. I scowled. "I hate to say it but I know exactly who all of you are. I know you came from another world. So the answer would be no. I don't think you're stupid or idiots."
He frowned. "How do you know us?"
"There's a TV show and books about your life. I love watching and reading them." I sighed when I saw more people staring at us. "Look, we're drawing more and more attention to ourselves. I have a place we can go to, to talk."
Gaara and Naruto looked at each other and nodded. "We'll follow you," Naruto said.
I led them to my house. It had enough room for everyone. Sasuke, Gaara, and Naruto decided to talk to me alone. I led them to the living room. We all sat. "What do you need to talk to me about?" I asked.
"How much do you know about us?" Sasuke asked.
"All of it."
"What's Pervy Sage's real name?" Naruto challenged.
"Jiraiya."
"My dad's name?"
"Minato."
"Who killed all of my clan?" Sasuke said.
"Itachi." Then I smiled. "Gaara's Shukaku's Jinchuriki and Naruto is Kurama's." Might as well speed this up a little.
"What was my mom's name?" Naruto trying to hide his surprise.
"Kushina." I sighed. "Are you just going to ask me about names?"
Gaara hadn't said anything but was studying me instead. Now he said something. "What did we do for the Fourth Great Ninja War?"
My mouth twitched. "You allied all the villages. You even told them that the different villages didn't exist anymore. You said 'Now there is only Shinobi.' At the end of your speech."
They all stared at me in surprise. "You quoted Gaara," Naruto said.
I blushed and looked away. "I might have paid more attention to him because he is my favorite character."
Naruto's POV
She liked Gaara? Out of all of us? "I'm stronger than he is," I objected.
Julia looked back at us. "I am not going by strength, Naruto."
"Then what are you going by?"
She looked away again. "Everything. But I'm not going to talk about him like he isn't here."
I looked at Gaara who was still surprised that she had said he was her favorite. "You were going somewhere when you saw us, weren't you?"
She looked at me and frowned. "Yes."
"Where?"
"School."
"School?" I asked, confused.
"Yes. In this world, we go to school until we pass twelfth grade. Which is usually at the age of eighteen." She smiled. "Most of you will have to go to school too."
"What?" I demanded.
"Do you want me to tell you who specifically?"
"That would be helpful."
"All three of you, Shikimaru, Ino, Choji, Sai, Sakura, Kiba, Shino, Hinata, Temari, Kankuro, and Motzari." She frowned. "Akamaru is going to be a challenge because dogs are usually allowed at school. But if we say that he's Kiba's service dog then it should work."
I shook my head. "Nuh-uh. I'm not going back to school."
She scowled. "You want to fit in or not? I can tell my mom that you recently became my friend but have nowhere to stay. She'll let you stay here though she won't be happy that I skipped school just to get you."
"'Recently'?" Sasuke said.
"It's true and...I've never really had friends before. So she'll be surprised."
Gaara looked at her thoughtfully. "It's a good plan."
I stared at him. "Are you crazy!?! We've already gone through school!"
Julia shook her head. "You went through ninja school. Not a normal one. I'm sure you guys won't be that good on these tests and stuff. I'll help as much as I can but since you're all seventeen you won't be in the same classes as me."
"What uh...grade are you in?" I asked.
"Tenth. You all will be in Eleventh."
"Is there a way to make it so we're in the same grade as you?" Sasuke asked.
She frowned as she thought about it. "I suppose we could say you needed to be held back a year. That would make it so you are in some of my classes."
"Some? Why not all?"
She chuckled. "Because everyone gets different teachers. It helps them distribute us students evenly instead of piling us on one person."
Gaara's POV
I watched her. She's good at making plans. "Do you think this will work?"
She sighed. "I can hope." The front door opened. "Oh, crap!" Julia muttered standing up. "Looks like we're going to start the plan now." Someone came into the room and Julia smiled. "Hello, Mom."
The woman frowned. "Julia, what are you doing at home?"
Julia's POV
"I had to pick up my new friends. They don't have a place to stay and I told them we had enough room. Can they stay, please?" I begged.
Mom laughed. "Okay, they can." She sighed. "I don't like that you skipped school but I can tell these guys mean a lot to you."
Oops, she thinks it's only these three. "Yeah, um, Mom?" She looked at me. "There are more than just these three. Their just out in the backyard."
Mom looked out the back window. "Goodness, Julia."
"I know. Can they stay?"
She sighed. "There is room."
"The manor is big enough to hold Twenty thousand people. Please, Mom?" I'm glad the three on the couch aren't saying anything.
"Are you sure they have nowhere to go?"
"A trillion percent sure."
She laughed again. "That's not even a thing, dear."
"It is to me. Please?"
"Oh, alright. But you have to introduce me."
"Okay." I called everyone in and quickly introduced everyone. I told mom about Akamaru and she said she would talk to the school for us. She went to the kitchen to make the call. I turned to everyone. "See? That worked."
"You had to beg," Naruto grumbled.
I sighed. "I won my mom over and she'll tell my dad that he has no choice but to let you stay. Mom's the boss in this house."
"Do you have siblings?" Ino asked.
I shook my head. "I'm an only child. Why?"
"It's a huge house. If it's only the three of you, why did your parents buy something this big?"
"Because they're rich," I muttered. "And because mom likes throwing parties and inviting people to stay over. She couldn't do that in our old house so she convinced Dad to buy a bigger one." I spread my arms out. "This is the result of that convincing."
"I think you have your mother's ability to convince people," a male voice said.
I smiled and turned to my dad. "Not really. How was work?"
He rolled his eyes. "Your mom told me you begged her to let these people stay and she didn't have the heart to deny you."
I giggled. "I might have done that."
"See? You have your mother's ability to persuade."
"Oh, alright. I inherited it. Want to meet everyone?" I asked. He nodded and I did the introductions again.
Dad frowned. "A dog too?"
"He's Kiba's," I replied.
"Why did he need a dog?"
"Service animal, Dad."
"Physical or emotional."
Damn, my dad's a little more thorough. "Emotional," I said quickly.
"Which kind?"
"Depression." I shot Kiba an apologetic look for saying this. He shrugged. "Don't worry. He already takes care of Akamaru quite well," I added.
Dad grunted. "As long as he picks up after it."
I wrinkled my nose. "Dad! Of course, he will." He grunted again and went into the kitchen. I turned to the others. "Okay, I had to add to the plan."
Naruto snorted. "Picking depression for Kiba was perfect."
"Hey!" Kiba said.
"You guys can't use your powers," I said.
They all nodded. "Even me?" Sakura asked.
I frowned. "Maybe your medical ninjutsu when no one is looking but please control how hard you hit someone. My parents would definitely kick you out if you started hurting people." I sighed. "That goes for all of you actually. No fighting."
"So I can't punch Naruto for his comment?" Kiba asked.
I rolled my eyes. "No, you can't." I looked at Gaara. "Your's is going to be a little more difficult."
He nodded. "If someone attacks me I can't stop the sand from blocking it."
I thought for a minute. "You'll have to stay by me as much as possible. The bullies who go after me use words to hurt me. Nothing else." Then I muttered, "Not that it actually hurts me."
"Do you ever punch them?" Ino asked.
"Oh for the love of hell, no! My parents would ground me for a month if I did!"
Ino frowned. "Why? It's still self-defense."
"Against words? My parents said if they fight with words, fight back with words. Besides, like I said, it never actually hurts me. They keep trying but they never succeed."
"Everyone, dinner," Mom called. We ate and then went to bed. I lay down and sighed. Tomorrow I'm going to start helping people from a completely different world fit into the real world.
