The Lost One
It had been her fresh year of high school, with new year, new friends, and new profound confidence she intended to make the biggest academic comeback. And, just like 7 months went by and nothing turned out to be what she expected. She didn’t make a academic comeback but rather made a failure. In the first exam, her class tests; she neglected her studies. And, had this mentality of completing her studies the night before exam which she used to do back in her middle school days. But, little did she know. such techniques would lead to her a failure. And, indeed she didn’t have good result, It was below average. Then , came Half Yearly, her worst possible nightmare. Also, the worst period of her life. She lost her focus, the determination she had, the firm belief she had in herself were lost. The social media, wasting time on the internet are what took over her mind. And, there she was messed up in the most tangled mess. She stopped caring about her studies and was all about those. In fact, even situations like her not even studying for the exam the next day and it didn’t even bother her.
Today, she got her math’s result in her hands, every one in the class got a score over a 90 and there she was with a 60 on her paper. While everyone cheered, screamed up0n seeing their results, she stood their watching them celebrate wondering what if ‘she’ had a 90 on her paper. She regretted her choices. And, she is still wondering if she will even make it even out of this grade or not. Her parents were disappointed and as well as she was in herself as well. She couldn’t fulfill her the promise she made to her parent’s. She FAILED. She messed up big time. But, did it stop her from scrolling through Instagram, listening to songs. NO. It feels like she is lost, she has no idea what is she doing in life. She doesn’t feel like doing any of that like being on Instagram and all anymore. But, she is still doing that. WHY?
She doesn’t know that answer for why. She is lost in somewhere the messed she created herself in between and left all those hopes, desires of ever standing first in the class. What do you think she is going through right now? What do you think her emotions are like?
